The Toronto Blue Jays win the first game of the series against the Baltimore Orioles 5-2. This was a Blue Jays game that we expected to see a lot more consistently in the year 2024. Chris Bassitt had a very good day, pitching into the eighth inning, having no hitter through over four innings, and only giving up two hits and two runs. Daulton Varsho continues to be one of the best outfielders in all of baseball, robbing Gunnar Henderson of an extra base hit. Joey Loperfido joined in on the fun, making a diving catch in the first play of the game, grabbing momentum for the Blue Jays early on. It has been over two weeks since the all-star break, so we decided to analyze who is hot and who is not on the Toronto Blue Jays, going over who will be important players to watch as this 2024 season gets closer and closer to coming to a close.
