We are back with our Lenten Mini Series— 10 Ways the Devil Oppresses Us.
Part 2: The devil will LIE and lead us to think we don't need the Church's sacraments or grace. We cannot live a life worthy of going to heaven by our own strength. The devil will lure us in the sneakiest of ways to keep us from God’s grace.

Part 1: The devil makes us feel desolate and unloved by instilling FEAR.
What kind of fear? Fear that we have to be noticed by others either in real life or on social media to be important. Fear that we have to be physically beautiful to be loved. Fear that we have to accomplish great things or be publicly awarded to be considered valuable. Fear that we will be excluded or teased if we do not share a popular opinion or attitude.

📖John 8: 44 "He is a liar and a murderer from the beginning."  
📖John 14:30 Jesus calls the devil "The Prince of this World." 
📖1 Peter 5:8 St. Peter compares the devil to an animal, a ferocious and vicious animal. "He is like a roaring lion on the prowl seeking whom he can devour."
