Can We Steal You for a Second? episodes

  • BIP S8E14+15: Put That on the Jungle Path (+ Love is Blind Chat)

First half BIP, second half LIB (59:20 for Love is Blind recap) but even so….for a dog-days of summer episode, we excavated some GEMS in the final hour here on the beach AND in this episode! We get deep into whether Rachel and Gabby had super-senior, vindictive energy and where Logan falls in fault in all of this while Kate truly needs to be stopped. Appreciating Andrew’s honesty when it finally came in the eleventh hour when the shock of Ency going CHAOS MODE hit him. PLUS, Love Is Blind Season 3 wrapped last week and we had to discuss the largest villian to hit our screens, who truly NEVER got his due, Bartise. Plus SK and Raven not getting married to be the best thing to ever happen to their relationship dynamic and Cole remaining the problem (while we appreciate his remorse). So much to break down, it was a good one!

  • BIP S8E12+13: We Will Rebuild

Fewer tears have been shed over traumatic life disasters, let alone a breakup of a couple you’ve been hanging out with for a few weeks. We have a LOT of takes on the Eliza/Rodney/Justin love triangle, it gave us so much content. And for all the survivors out there, we will get through this. Just hang on. Kate and Logan is a relationship following a different trajectory that started from similar miscommunications and sparks a conversation of its own. Nonetheless, the finale still seems farther than ever but we will get there together with maybe a few couples still intact.

  • BIP S8E10+11: 'Cificos in Cali (In-Person Episode)

It finally happened…two years in the making…our first in-person podcast! And it’s better than we even could have imagined. So strap in for an episode for the ages as we discuss various couple arguments. From most to least toxic, might be a hot-take, is Eliza/Rodney, Genevieve/Aaron, Kate/Logan. And brb, planning our next live episode now.

  • BIP S8E8+9: She Wants a Joint Account

Everyone is coming back to the nest this week, and it did not disappoint! Primarily the conversation surrounds the juiciest of reunions: Shanae and Logan, and Victoria and Johnny. Shanae is clearly a hypocrite but we couldn’t help but take her side, Logan is flaky, and Kate is SUS. Victoria is in the right, Johnny is showing his clear immaturity. Plus, what in the world will fill these next few weeks?

  • BIP S8E4+5: Incel Island

Why is the vibe on the beach so BAD this season? Is it the lack of partying? Is it pride stopping people from making moves? Is it the DM dibs-calling beforehand? Is it the married couple stinking up the boom-boom room and stealing all the screentime and date cards? Probably a combination of all of it, but this week it was certainly these mopey men.

  • BIP S8E2+3: Victoria's Secret

Two two hot bombshells entered the beach: guests Alex (Whitney’s sister) and Chelsea! Friends of the pod, viewers of the show because of the pod, what an honor. They even bring some juicy tea about some of the contestants…We discuss the Romeo clusterfuck, Shanae’s comeback, and clique dynamics before Whitney and Camille continue with the second episode of the week. Topics of conversation include: VF’s leagues-ahead seductress power, are we still into Justin, super-seniors Ashley I and Jered, and even some rising hesitations about Serene. Finally, we have a conversation about the slow demise of the franchise. Has it jumped the shark and if so, when?

  • BIP S8E1: ⚠️ Hierarchy Violation ⚠️

Welcome back to the BEACH! And some of these people are already really testing our patience! We introduce two new segments: EXILE ISLAND for couples who blatantly took performance-enhancing drugs (i.e. talked before the show) and HIERARCHY VIOLATIONS for contestants who step out of line regarding their relevancy on the show. Protagonists emerge in Brittany and Hunter, while antagonists emerge in Genevieve and Jill. But at least the women are carrying for entertainment. But before we discuss paradise, Camille simply HAD to debrief all of her parasocial culture drama stressors of the day. Namely Chatty Broads' breakup and Ned from the Try Guy’s subordinate affair scandal. Skip ahead about 30 min if this internet gossip is irrelevant to you which, fair.

  • S19E11: These Rules Don't Apply to Me!

We just knew moments into this episode that we were going to be going OFF. Tune into about an hour of us essentially standing firm for the premise of the show and validating Gabby and Rachel’s clearly set expectations that they want an engagement and thus, reading between the lines, a firm commitment. What is with these men constantly lowering the bar every season??? We bring up common arguments against the engagement premise (it’s old-fashioned, they settle instead, it would be just as good without, etc.) and feel we have solid evidence against them all when we go back to the narrative stakes of what sets the show apart. Give it a listen and see if you agree or your mind is changed a little bit.
