The boys are back in Episode 33 to mourn Gene Wilder, answer listener emails,  talk about baloney and deal with a very unfortunate MacBeth joke.  Don't say we didn't warn you.

This week finds the crew in good spirits, even though Heavy tries to sink the thing with a bad Ronnie Milsap joke straight out of the chute.  A tweet from long time listener/field correspondent causes Gustav to wax poetic about Hunter S. Thompson's lawyer in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.  This leads to a discussion about the author and some of his works.

Gustav then shares how the loss of Gene Wilder really affected Mrs. Gustav.  The boys are all fans of Wilder's work, so they spend a few minutes recounting some of his legacy and their fondness of him.

Then they tackle listener emails.  Gustav must rephrase his way through a mine field of loaded words while reading the sordid tale sent to us by one of our listeners working on an advanced degree.  Said listener almost redeems himself with a wonderful MacBeth joke, but the guys are too far gone into old man mode and they spend the next few minutes warning him of all the things that soap and water can't wash off.

Next up, an email from crowd favorite yet Machine hated Crandyman asks the boys about baloney (or bologna for you high society folks with all your fancy talking).  It may surprise you that Heavy has some very specific thoughts and beliefs regarding this round mystery meat.

They then wrap it up with a couple of emails from lady listeners.  One gal is curious about who it's okay to think about during your special alone time .  The other wants to know how to figure out if your friends are something more than boring vanilla types and how to let your partner know you are down for some more advanced activities (nudge nudge, wink wink).  Surprisingly, they guys somehow give some fairly mature advice.

The guys are back in Episode 32 to do a little remembering about New Coke, candy from the seventies and give a little love advice.  While we fully acknowledge that nostalgia for the 90's is the territory of the Partial Recall Podcast, we felt that we were safe to slide back into the seventies and eighties for a bit of "membering".

A previous episode featured the story of a faulty Coke machine in the jr. high field house which if someone was willing to get shocked, would continue to feed out free Coke's.  Ty and Heavy seemed to remember that it was a "New Coke" machine so that prompted us to discuss the disastrous change from the traditional Coke recipe to the New Coke  and the subsequent backlash that led to Coca-Cola Classic, with New Coke eventually fading out of existence.

Of course we discuss why Coca-Cola management felt the need to monkey with a good thing.  A major factor was the Pepsi Challenge.  Ty lays out why the Pepsi Challenge was successful and why ultimately, it was deceptive to the Coca-Cola management.

All of this talk about soft drinks leads the crew to remember magical moments when an ice cold Dr. Pepper or Coke was the best thing in the world.  Then the conversation turns to each member's favorite candy back in the olden times.  Gustav brings up some long gone candies like the Marathon Bar or Reggie Bar while Ty and Heavy just stare blankly at him.

Turning from nostalgia to their mission statement to help their listeners, the guys put on their Dear Abby wigs and answer an email from Pretty Little Nurse  on how to catch a guy that she has been on a couple of dates with.  After delivering some remarkably sound advice, Gustav tells how Mrs. Gustav put him through a long interview process before she finally gave into his questionable charms.

The guys are back in Episode 31 of the Can You Hear Me podcast with tales of a cab ride gone wrong from the start, a high school homecoming game and new boots.  Plus, as usual, there is plenty of non-sequitur nonsense and general tomfoolery.

Gustav recounts the recent proselytizing that he and Ty have been busy with in order to promote the podcast.  Their trip to Fight Night and the post fight festivities lead Ty leaving his truck in Dallas and Gustav driving him home.  But up until this episode, Ty had not told the group his very frustrating morning dealing with a cab driver who could use some customer service coaching.

Next it's on to Gustav's tale of his recent trip to a high school homecoming football game (the first he had been to in over 20 years).  He has several tales of awkwardness and unfortunate sights.  But he also has visions of greatness as patriotism was in full force.

Then the boys turn to new boot talk.  No one likes to try on new boots (unless you happen to be Ty trying on ten thousand dollar custom boots).  But Gustav was faced with boot shopping after his wife and daughter bought him a new pair of boots which didn't fit correctly.

Episode 30 of the Can You Hear Me Podcast finds the team answering emails about musical instruments, men's cologne, alternate Olympic sports, leg wrestling and delivering a definitive position statement on the ladies lingerie.  We also added futuristic laser sounds to match Ty's new futuristic Twitter handle.

To start the ball rolling, Fake Bailey Jay emails some frank things directed at Gustav and supports Ty and Heavy in their previous statements about tattoos.  Not to be outdone, longtime hall of fame contributor Cody Allen sends lots of good questions for the crew.  This leads to a discussion about Gustav's lack of musical talent and then the curtain is pulled back to learn who the handsome devil is that can really play guitar.  Heavy spends an inordinate amount of time telling us about his cologne rituals and preferences.  Cody also asked about alternative Olympic sports which the guys come up with several good ideas rooted in their rural minds, the greatest of which is coed leg wrestling.  Then Gustav makes a stand against the 903 area code status symbol which is the Yeti cooler.

In previous episodes, the topic of women's lingerie had been alluded to, but postponed.  Gustav brings it back around for a full treatment.  Listen and find out where the other two old men stand on the issue.

The boys tackle listener email, eavesdroppers and a new twist on "the hand of fellowship" in episode 29 of Can You Hear Me.

Faithful listener Tellito sends in a follow up email about his pending move to town.  With their usual wisdom, the guys try to help provide some insight to this brave denizen of the West.  This leads to a discussion about the perfect piece of property out in the country and what that means and how that meaning changes over the course of one's life.

For those of you who are fans of Ty based episodes, you are in luck.  Ty shares two stories which he had been saving.  The first story details his recent run in with an eavesdropper at a local restaurant and how he dealt with it.

He had been sitting on his second story for some time and finally had a chance to tell it in all it's glory.  Listen to find out what the modern meaning of "the hand of fellowship" means in today's modern church as Ty recounts a handsy husband which Ty witnessed on Mother's Day at his church.

Episode 27 finds the crew answering listener emails about everything from roadkill to the Sheriff of Nottingham and lots of other strange things.  Starting things off, we have an email from Tom where he makes the mistake of inviting the guys to his new business facility which happens to be an old prison building.  Wanting to repay the kindness, Gustav offers up some helpful hints regarding 37mm grenade launchers.

The next email from Cody has the guys rolling on the floor laughing.  Cody never disappoints with his emails and this is no exception.  Not to give it all away, but it involves: decriminalization of marijuana, a bright flash light, unconventional making of whoopie and something he refers to as "the Voltron Formation".

Gustav also shares an email that the podcast received with possibilities for a business venture with a banker in Asia who just needs a serious business partner.

Once they pull themselves back together, they tackle the Butcher's email where he points out the similarities between our beloved Heavy and the Sheriff of Nottingham from Walt Disney's animated version of Robin Hood.

The Butcher also asks if they boys have ever eaten Roadkill.  You may not be surprised which of the guys has eaten and who hasn't.  Gustav also shares the tale of when he and Heavy ran into a wild hog early one Easter morning back in the mid-nineties. (Neither Heavy or Gustav can remember what year the collision happened, which seems to be a symptom of their advancing ages).

Then to wrap things up the boys talk a bit about bird hunting, the upcoming dove season and the pitfalls of duck hunting.

In Episode 26 of Can You Hear Me, the guys turn their attention to the sexiness of curvy girls, old game shows from the seventies and a crime story that could only happen in the 903 area code.

During the discussion of Suzy's Lounge in Episode 25, the crew postponed talking about women with curves due to not having enough time to dedicate to the topic.  With a new episode, they have plenty of time and give it their full attention to their attraction to curvy girls.  They give a brief history of how societal attitudes toward women with more voluptuous figures changed from the fifties into the late sixties and bemoan the rise of super thin models such as Twiggy.  Gustav points out London Andrews as an example of the new school of models with curves.

But as usual, the team can't stay on one topic too long and they discuss how seventies game shows allowed the children to have a glimpse into the adult world, even if they didn't fully comprehend what they were hearing.  Shows like The Gong Show, Match Game and the Newlywed Game are prime examples of shows that the guys watched.  Gustav recalls a Chuck Barris produced show called Three's A Crowd (although at the time of recording, he could not think of it's name) where men went on the game show with their wives and secretaries and awkwardness ensued.  Check out clip below to see what Gustav was talking about.

Heavy preaches the greatness of the Netflix original series Stranger Things.  That leads Ty to point out how much technology has changed parenting styles when you compare now to how when the guys grew up in the eighties.

Then Gustav shares a news story from the 903 area code where Gainesville, TX police shut down an Asian massage parlor after a patron got more than he expected.

The Can You Hear Me boys return to their true form in Episode 25 with tales of Suzy's Showbar, a discussion of breasts and a debate about tattooed ladies.  Once again we thank Professor Brad from the Below the Belt Podcast, which airs on the Blowout Podcast Network, for joining us on Episode 24 for our discussion of Blood Meridian . But once again we are back to the grind with our standard fare of content.

Gustav gets the ball rolling with a field report from his visits to Suzy's Showbar(AKA Suzy's Lounge).  Suzy's Showbar is a quaint strip club nestled out in a semi-rural location about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia, PA.  While the club might not be the snazziest strip club in the world, it makes up for it in charm and ambiance .  Because he cares about the listeners, Gustav provides a laundry list of why he thinks this may be one of the most fascinating strip clubs he's ever encountered.  He found it so fascinating that he agreed to take his work wives for a visit.  Listen to find out if they had as positive an outlook as Gustav did.

Strip club talk leads to breast augmentation talk and the guys share their opinions on the potential downsides of a boob job gone wrong.  While they aren't anti-breast augmentation, they all come up with some specific situations that they have observed.  And with the discussion of the dancers at Suzy's Showbar, the conversation turns to the tattooed ladies.  Ty and Heavy talk about Danielle Colby from the television show "American Pickers" as an example of an attractive curvy tattooed lady.  With that example, the group then talks about the merits and downsides to tattoos on the fairer sex.
