Dive into the depths of understanding our fundamental needs in this episode.
While values lay the foundation of who we are, our needs guide our quest for growth and fulfillment. I revisit the well-known Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, breaking down its layers from basic survival necessities to actualisation.

In this intimate episode, I delve deep into the heart of what defines us: our values.
What truly resonates with you? Is it personal beliefs, societal standards, or a blend of both?
Together, we'll explore the distinction between living by our true values versus those imposed by others.
Why is it that we sometimes feel out of sync with our actions or decisions? The answer often lies in the alignment (or misalignment) with our core values. James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, posits that behaviour out of tune with our self doesn't last. Discover if your actions align with what you truly value.
Furthermore, I'll share my personal journey of rediscovering my values when they merged with my business. Cancer, Chemo & Currywurst is a cancer survivorship podcast about the part of cancer recovery no one prepares you for...the afterlife.
When the medical…
I’m Fleur, a trauma and somatic coach who has lived this too, an English woman living the expat life in Berlin, Germany (hence the Currywurst).
Here we talk about the psychological aftermath of cancer, managing scanxiety (the fear of cancer recurrence), and the nervous system patterns that linger after chemotherapy treatment ends. We dive into the raw topics like beating chemo brain brain fog, handling the grief that hides inside comparison and jealousy, and the strange, beautiful task of life after cancer. Most importantly rebuilding a life that actually fits who you are now.
Some episodes are just me, speaking honestly about the messy middle of post-traumatic growth. Some are conversations with guests who understand what it means to be reshaped by something life-altering.
This is not a space for warrior narratives or forced positivity. It is a space for truth, nuance, curiosity, and learning how to live fully in a body and life that feel different.
If you are navigating life after cancer treatment and want language, understanding, and real conversation, you are in the right place.
