Live from the new Golfdom store in Rockville, MD, the Capital Golf Gang reconvenes for an all-encompassing conversation chatting about why in the world we all play this game, a qualifier DQ that has been the talk of the golf world plus some media news.
Czabe and the Gang discuss the insane runaway prices of high-end publicly accessible #elite courses all over the country. At what point do your knees buckle at the number? A quick nine, including a few holes about one-handed chipping, "gator nets" and more.
Czabe talks to the Gang about the nightmares of "client" golf, when the clients can't break 120. Also, what else can lead to a "nightmare" round well beyond your actual score. A QUICK NINE plus the latest from the Tours. Zurich Classic recap and LIV has a moment down under! MORE.....
Czabe is joined by John Ronis, Jon Guhl, and Buddy Christensen at GolfDom in Tysons to discuss the latest issues in the world of golf. Including where everybody stands on the increasing use of portable speakers while playing.
The 2023 Masters is in the books and all hail not only Jon Rahm and his first green jacket, but the groundskeepers of Augusta National that kept the course playable on a marathon last day. Koepka is back and healthy, but even though he's only 32 and guys are competitive now into their 40s — even 50s! — his runway is getting real short for getting a green jacket. We'll explain more.
Czabe is joined by Carol Maloney, John Ronis and Jon Guhl to discuss the Augusta National Women's Amatuer, dynamic Rose Zhang, trash talking in golf, the 7 biggest story lines in this year's event, plus what would you do if if Ben Hogan's ghost started talking to you?

The Capital Golf Gang is once again back at Golfdom in Tyson's Corner. Looking back at the match that almost was last week between Rory and Scheffler, the Gang debates whether we are overselling match play at the professional level. Listen in to Czabe, John Ronis, Jon Guhl and Buddy Christensen dig into it.
The Capital Golf Gang returns to its normal format, broadcasting plausibly live from Golfdom in Tyson's Corner, VA. Jon Guhl and John Ronis take their normal positions on the tee with Czabe, and with Ron Thomas out on assignment this week, Buddy Christensen, Owner and President of Golfdom, rounds out the foursome. This week we've got LIV Tour machinations ahead of The Masters, a quick Back Nine, and a "Let if Breath" round robin.
The USGA and R&A announced this week a proposal to roll back the ball in hopes of curbing ever-increasing distance gains. Is this a good idea? Czabe does a deep dive with John Ronis on the front nine. Then, Kevin Van Valkenburg —who after 11 years at ESPN has joined No Laying Up — comes aboard for a quick back 9, including Kevin's hot take that the LIV Tour's days could be numbered.
From the publisher's feed
“The Capital Golf Gang” reflects who we are and where we are from. Steve Czaban, John Ronis, Ron Thomas and Jon Guhl — four golf fanatics, from four distinctly different “sectors” of the “industry”…
