This week we looked at a part of God's Law in the Old Testament. We understand that there is no way to be perfect therefore we need sacrifice. We needed Jesus and his Grace.

After God Rescues the nation of Israel he does not leave them stranded in the desert. God leads his people through the desert witha pillar of smoke in the day and fire by night. At one point it looks like a dead end, but God makes a way at the Red Sea. Jesus has a lot to say about following him and what our lives should look like. We will spend a majority of our time in Matthew 7:13-14 understanding which road we are on.

Many years have passed since we ended the week before in Genesis. We find God's people suffering in bondage to the Pharaoh of Egypt. God calls a murder named Moses to set his people free. After trying to get Pharaoh's attention to God's Glory and Power the tenth plague of passover forces Pharaoh's hand. We finished up Genesis with The Forgiving Prince. We talked about Joseph and his journey through trials and tribulation. Very powerful thought take from Genesis 50:20 of understand what was intended for harm was used for Good.

We often determine our self worth in what the world tells unstead of finding it whose we are - Jesus'. Leah was not the most popular, pretty, or perious sister. Yet she is the one whom God would use to bring forth the line of Judah. It is from this tribe Jesus would come. God cares more abour your heart than your resume.

Abraham follows through with God's request of sacrificing his only son Isaac with an unhindered obediance. Which leaves us all asking the question - "Is there anything we would back from God?" Jesus would be our Isaac. His Father would give his only son to the Cross so that we would have Life - The Gift.

Abraham and Sarah were well above the age where they could be having a child, yet God promises this couple they would be changing diapers in the next year. This caused both of them to laugh at the idea of the impossible becoming possible. God wants to do the impossible through us. How can God use the impossible in your life to become possible, inorder that he would recieve the Glory?

In Genesis we hear God say that it is not good for man to be alone. We were created to be relational creatures, and that is especaily true when it come to spiritual journeys. Our spiritual journeys have always intended to be done with a group of people, not alone. What does it mean to just go to church, but be a part of a Gospel Community.

The Tower of Babel is not one that wins the Felt Board Award for most known Old Testament stories. But is one that explains so much from orgins, races, languages, and salvation. Here we see mankind striving to equal themselves to God. When we begin to dig we see that not much as changed.
