Whether we like to admit it or not those of us who live in America live in an Empire of Entitlement. And unfortunatley this mentality has crept into the bride of Christ - the local church. This message looks at another nation (Israel) who sometimes believed because they were God's chosen people, that they were an empire of entitlement. God speaks directly to Israel and this area of disobedience.

In Luke 2 we get a small glimpse of Jesus as child. But even more powerful is the heartbeat of a mother who would have to give up her earthly protection of her son, so that he may accomplish his heavenly mission. Sacrifical Love is lived in the example of Mary's love of letting go of her son in order for him to die on the cross.
