There comes a time when each of us face a crossroads in life—a moment where we can wait on God or take things into our own hands. And whether that’s in our finances, relationships, mental health or so many other things, the sad truth is that our actions often show that we trust ourselves more than we trust God.

But Jesus shows us a totally different way. In fact, before Jesus ever performs a miracle or preaches a sermon, he reminds those around him that he’s not on his own time, but rather the Father’s. By doing this he shows us that the way is often to wait.

This week we examined this moment further as we dove into Chapter 2 of the Gospel of John with a message called, “Waiting Is The Way”.

This weekend we wrapped up our new year's vision series "All In" in style with a Sunday totally dedicated to Baptism! We discussed the "What, Why, and How?" of Baptism and why it matters. We also baptized people at every service, in service, to close service!!! 

Because baptism is about obedience to what Jesus asks us to do, no matter how long you have been in church, we should all be asking, "God should I be getting baptized this weekend?" Baptism is not what immature Christians do. It's what mature Christians do... Even Jesus did it!

In our culture we have commitment issues. We often love the idea of doing something risky or exciting more than we actually love doing it. Because of that we often become theorists with our faith more than practitioners. We think God is good, that he provides, that he heals, that he comes through, but often we will never know unless we take a risk, say "yes," and make a commitment to God. This week we unpacked how we can make a commitment to God.
