EPISODE 26 - Clark, Hyung, and John kick off this show with what they're doing with modern base cards as the prices continue to tumble. Is it time to panic and liquidate or buy more at the dip? Then the guys get into the meat of today's episode by dissecting Josh Luber's (StockX Founder and now Chief Vision Officer of Fanatics Trading Cards) insightful White Paper/Essay on the state of the hobby. They discuss whether they agree or disagree on some of his key points including his reason for the hobby boom and subsequent major correction earlier this year. And they talk about whether they share in Luber's optimism of the hobby's future. Plus they react to some of his surprising statements in a recent interview such as his initial thoughts of Fanatics Trading Cards not likely to produce their own branded trading cards or set up their own grading company. This episode ends as usual with the "Pick One segment - the Hot Takes edition" with each of the guys offering two hobby hot takes and then debating on which they believe in more. The Pick One pairs in this episode are: PSA 10 is underrated vs. BGS 10 is overrated; Wander Franco will be the 2022 AL MVP vs. Luis Robert will be the 2022 AL MVP; and the Panini Select set will be irrelevant by 2026 vs. Upper Deck Hockey will be irrelevant by 2026.

Then the guys talk about their recent visit to a live in-person card show (the Sports Card Expo in Toronto), and share what they liked and disliked about the show. They also share what they ended up buying, trading, and selling, and what their strategies were to get the best deals. Finally, the show ends as usual with the "Pick One segment - the regular edition" with each of them offering two cards or players and then debating which one they would rather invest in. The Pick One pairs in this episode are: Lewis Hamilton Refractor Card vs. Connor McDavid Young Guns Card; Go back in on investing in base cards at 50% of its current market value or just invest in low-number serial numbered cards; and Stephen Curry Bowman rookie card (BGS 9.5) vs. Stephen Curry Bowman rookie card (PSA 9).
