In this episode, Zach will talk about a tip he learned from his daughter, Remy. It is giving extra incentives to listeners for them to listen on your podcast. In the Podcasting realm, whatever your expertise is in, whatever you think your listeners will want from you is just a bonus. Give them something to make them come back for more. Give your audience something extra that you think they would like and as you give them more value, they will be more loyal to you, they will listen to you more often. In most cases, you will become even more of an expert in your field. Don’t be afraid to give your listeners extra incentive to listen to you further.

Zach tells a story that pertains to Authority. The point of the story is, if you just create a consistent content you will become an expert by default. If you have content that are detail oriented, very targeted, specific to a niche, to an industry - people are going to listen to you. In Podcasting, you are going to be an expert when you push/create a content that people are interested to. He wants to give the people an idea that overtime, if something hits and goes viral, people starts to listen to you more often by default and all of a sudden you become an expert. That all starts with consistency. Just make sure you continue doing your content - you may not know what hits or what ends up blowing up. If you are consistent, something is going to hit. Be consistent, keep pushing your content out there, and build yourself up a library and that in overtime will be search upon, it will be found and some pieces will go to viral. And all of a sudden hundred thousands of people will think you are the expert in that field.

It’s okay to go ahead and give up a little bit on the quality side if it means that your content will still be great and consistent. Back to the barriers. The first barrier we will be discussing - “I am not able to podcast enough” attitude. Next Barrier is - "I am unsure which platform to use." Here are the three main Platforms for content creation are Print, Audio, and Video. Zach says to pick one and make it your primary outlet and the others, feel free to dabble. The point is when creating content, it doesn’t matter where it is. If you want to be in all the different place all the same time, dabble. But pick one platform where you are going to be consistent and from there you can push people to other pieces of your content that you have in different platform.
