My life is all about 360 right now
Two letters to Shane and David
It's Aug 4-5 at the Pasadena Convention Center and they expect 15,000 guests. See attached. In addition to the stats on the flyer Susan said she's had 2 BILLION press impressions in the three previous years of Cat Con, with 1.3 billion being just the 2017 event.
I asked them if I could set up a display of 6 swivel chairs and 6 headsets to play our videos with the intention of promoting the idea of experiencing big cats in a way that doesn't require breeding them for life in prison.
Susan, the founder of Cat Con, who worked at E - Entertainment for 12 years before launching the endeavor, called me today to tell me that she loved the idea. It's never been done before. The booth space, chairs and electricity is going to run me about $5,000, plus the gear to display the videos, plus travel expenses, but I think that's a good investment to reach this demographic of cat lovers. (I think Roselle may fund it and might even want to help me with the booth)
The only hitch is that Susan doesn't want me to take a booth and then not be able to deliver the end product. I told her I believe I can pull off enough finished films to do this, especially if we can re-purpose the footage being made for the Imagine Museum.
There is a HUGE discrepancy in the quality of the finished footage I can create, vs what you guys can create, so I wanted to get your input on this timeline. We can discuss next time you visit, if you prefer, because I know you guys are really busy. For the cats, Carole Baskin, CEO of Big Cat Rescue

Dear David and Shane,
I think we may have broken all of our previous records today with the number of people who watched Gabrielle Tigers cancerous mass removal LIVE today. 179,000 views so far! (over 260,000 by the next day)
I mounted the Insta360 right above the surgery site so the footage should be amazing! I'm putting the raw files in our shared dropbox under ImagineMuseum > Tigers > Gabrielle and will put a few of the highlights in there too, so you can get a quick glimpse of the rest of the footage.
I was not able to get 360 footage of carrying her from her cage to the wagon, but did capture everything from the time she rolled into surgery until Dr Justin Boorstein was stitching her up.
We got another 61,000 views on The Dodo Impact, for just the pre surgery stuff. They asked me to only film up to the point where surgery began for fear that their viewers wouldn't like it. There were 1,500 people watching when I had to shut it down, but I was able to tell them to go over to our Facebook page to keep watching if they wanted.
I set up the Insta360 on the land bridge last night to film the white ibis that land there before going to the tree in the lake. It was overcast, so we can get better footage, but it gives you and idea of the angle and the birds interest in pecking the lens. That is in the shared folder too. Hi, I’m Carole Baskin and I’ve been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views. These are my views and opinions. If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story. The titles are the dates things happened. If you have any interest in who I really am please start at the beginning of this playlist: http://savethecats.org/
I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story. My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
