Carolina has now dropped 2 straight after winning 11 in a row. Max Pacioretty made his Hurricanes debut, had 6 of the Hurricanes' record total shots, but couldn't find the range. Andrei Svechnikov had a team-high 8 SOG and 10 individual scoring chances but didn't register a point in the loss. On the bright side, Andrei was selected to the Metropolitan Division All Star Team on Thursday. His 19 goals lead the Hurricanes and this will be his first All Star Game appearance.
