On this episode of Casting the Net, I sit down with Larry Onan, an author and retired consultant who never truly retired because when you’re walking in purpose, you don’t stop.
We had a real, candid conversation about what it means to stop “performing” in life and start living authentically. Larry shared how a life-changing moment helped him realize that too many of us are acting through life instead of being who God created us to be.
We talked about how misalignment shows up, how people get on the wrong “road” in life, thinking they’re headed toward purpose, but end up exhausted because they’re operating outside of their God-given design.
One of the biggest mindset shifts we unpacked was stewardship. Not just money but your time, your gifts, your life. When you understand that you don’t own it, you manage it differently. You move differently. You live intentionally.
This conversation will challenge you to stop chasing feelings and start aligning with truth. Because when purpose, authenticity, and stewardship come together you don’t just survive… you thrive.

In this episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with Timothy Ward, an expert in exercise science, coach, author, and speaker—and this conversation completely reframed how we approach health and fitness.
As your host, I wanted to get real about something many of us struggle with… we’re trying, but we’re not getting results.
Timothy broke it down in a way that made so much sense: the problem isn’t your effort—it’s the lack of proper knowledge and structure.
We talked about how the human body is highly adaptive, but without the right stimulus, you can actually work against yourself.
What impacted me the most is this truth:
Your health will become your number one priority at some point—so why not choose it now instead of being forced into it later?
In this conversation, we dive into:
Why most people are doing fitness wrong
The importance of muscle mass for longevity
The danger of quick-fix weight loss solutions
How to simplify fitness into a system that actually works
This episode is not just about fitness—it’s about taking ownership of your life, your body, and your long-term well-being.

In this episode, I sit down with Tiffany Brearton, and we go deep into the realities of trauma, identity, and healing. What struck me the most is how many people are walking around carrying pain they’ve never given a voice to.
And let me say this clearly, what’s hidden cannot be healed.
Tiffany shares her personal journey through trauma, silence, and ultimately healing. We talk about how subtle entry points such as things people don’t even recognize, can lead to cycles of broken identity, shame, and disconnection.
But here’s what I want you to hear…
You are not too far gone.
Your story is not over.
And your healing is still available.
This conversation isn’t just about awareness, it’s about awakening.
Because once you see it… you can’t unsee it.
And once you acknowledge it… you can finally begin to heal.

I’m honored to feature author Tony Stoltzfus on Casting the Net for a conversation that challenges us to experience Scripture in a deeper and more human way.
We talk about the emotional brain, transformation beyond behavior modification, the power of visualizing biblical stories, and how heaven offers hope for the places in life that still feel unresolved.
This episode is thoughtful, healing, and full of insight for anyone who wants to grow in faith and engage the Word of God more personally.
What stood out to me most is this: many people approach Scripture only through analysis, but God also meets us through imagination, emotion, and lived experience. This episode is a meaningful reminder that the Word of God was never meant to be distant from our humanity.

In this episode of Casting the Net, I sit down with Takilla Combs , The Life Organizing Strategist, for a powerful conversation about what organization really means. I went into this discussion thinking about clutter in the home, but what stood out to me most was how deeply organization is connected to our calendar, our routines, our boundaries, and even our sense of peace.
Takilla Combs shares how many people believe they only need help with their physical space, when in reality, their schedule, habits, and daily decisions are what keep creating the chaos. We talk about decision fatigue, saying yes to the wrong things, the importance of preparing today for tomorrow, and why organization is not magic, it is a lifestyle.
What I love about this conversation is that it shows how getting organized is about so much more than closets and pantries. It is about creating systems that support your purpose, reduce overwhelm, and help you live with more intention. If you have ever felt like life is piling up on you, this episode will challenge you to look deeper and start with what may be your greatest tool, your calendar.

Welcome back to Casting the Net, where we care about your mental health and well-being. I’m your host, Coach Rice, and this episode is one of those conversations that will stay with you. I sat down with Santa Jones, podcaster, author, and a woman who truly loves Jesus and she shares a raw, powerful testimony of what it looks like to go from bondage to freedom.
Santa opens up about her upbringing, the manipulation and trauma she endured, and how shame tried to silence her for years. But what moved me most was hearing how God met her in the darkest places through confusion, fear, survival mode, and even spiritual torment and began to lead her step by step into healing and deliverance. She shares how surrender became her turning point, how God gave her clarity, broke addictions, and taught her how to walk in true freedom, not just “going to church,” but living in intimacy with Him.
And y’all… this episode is also for the ones who think a spouse is supposed to heal their wounds. We talk about that too—how healing is God’s responsibility, and how relationships thrive when we stop placing divine expectations on human shoulders. We close with prayer—covering you, your healing, your salvation, your freedom, and your future.
If you have ever felt trapped in your past, burdened by shame, or like your story disqualifies you, this episode is your reminder: God is still a Healer & Deliverer.

On this episode of Casting the Net, I had the opportunity to sit down with Alan Lazaros, business coach and CEO of the Next Level University Podcast—a daily podcast with over 2,300 episodes dedicated to personal growth and self-improvement.
Alan shared his powerful story—from losing his father at a young age, to rising as a global 1% earner in his twenties, to a life-altering car accident at 26 that became his wake-up call. That moment forced him to ask a deeper question: What does real success actually look like?
What stood out to me most was his breakdown of the compound effect. He explained how improving just 0.1% per day—consistently—can radically transform your life over time. It’s not about overnight success. It’s about daily discipline. Small shifts. Long-term vision.
We also talked about:
Alan’s biggest takeaway?
Protect your goals and dreams. If you’re serious about growth, you may feel alone—but stay committed anyway.
This conversation challenged me—and I believe it will challenge you too.
