Continuing our series in Mark's Gospel, Chuck looks at the relatively well-known moment where Jesus turns over the tables in the temple, that is book-ended by the rather less familiar one where he pronounces judgement on a fig tree.

James looks at Mark 11 the Triumphal entry is a new way. Focusing on God seeking to loosen and untie our positions, resources, transport and homes for his use.

We are journeying through the Gospel of Mark and this week we find Jesus confronted with a tax question. We find Jesus turning their trick tax-question into highlighting our need to “give to God what is God’s”, as we are created and ‘minted’ in His image so our lives belong to Him. We see our King and His cross as the “for-ever bridge” to that gulf, the wedge between us and our creator. Our response is to this love and grace is to repent, to worship and to repeat as much as necessary!!!

Scott explores how we build a faith in Jesus that causes us to pursue him with everything we have!

Whilst on the road Jesus overhears the disciples arguing over who’s the greatest. Hannah looks at the journey of the disciples as they grow in an increasing revelation of the truth of the Kingdom of God. That Kingdom greatness comes from being teachable and through becoming the 'servant of all’.

When the disciples are asking for position, Jesus takes the opportunity to teach on greatness in his kingdom.

This week Tammy opens Mark 10:35-45 and looks at our perceived popularity, present examples of power and the perfect precedent Jesus sets for us to follow.

In Mark 9:42-50, Jesus' seemingly harsh words are actually a message of love to us. His heart is to rescue everyone from death, remake us into new creations and invite us into full life remaining in him.

If Jesus was to enter into our town, city, nation this weekend, what would the reaction of people be? Joy? Anger? Indifference? Ali takes us through Mark 11:1-11 and challenges us that to show people who Jesus really is, we need to see him as a King of Humility and Purity and that our response should be serving and worshipping him.

Ben looks at aspects of God’s character and how Our Redeemer calls us to be workers in His vineyard from Mark 12:1-12.
