"An Evening with Troy Duffy" comes to a close as Kyle and Trevor review the 2nd (and potentially final) movie in bartender/bouncer/musician/screenwriter/director Troy Duffy's filmography, The Boondock Saints 2: All Saint's Day (2009)!
Starring most of the same folks from the first film, the film is largely devoid of redeeming value, and often feels painfully immature and dated.
Troy Duffy has seen The Godfather Part II and it's VERY IMPORTANT to him that you know that.

*WARNING! Full spoilers for Triple Threat! WARNING!*
We interrupt our month of Irish films for a very special, impromptu, Theatrical Edition of the show!
In this very special episode of the podcast, Trevor takes his brother to go see the one-night-only, martial arts action extravaganza, Triple Threat (2019)!
Directed by Jesse V. Johnson, choreographed by Tim Man, and featuring a who's who of martial arts and action stars, the film has been at or near the top of Trevor's most anticipated films list since it's announcement a couple of years ago.
While the brothers are somewhat critical of the film, it needs to be said that the critiques come from a place of love and appreciation.
While not a perfect film by any means, the novelty of seeing Scott Adkins, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen, Michael Jai White, Jeeja Yanin, Michael Bisping, Ron Smoorenburg, and Dominique Vandenberg onscreen, beating the hell out of each other, is dream come true kind of stuff for an action fan like Trevor.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Catching Up On Cinema!
In keeping with the Irish-ish theme we've had for all the episodes posted this month, Kyle and Trevor invite you, the listener to join them in a special 3-part event we've taken to calling "An Evening with Troy Duffy".
For the uninitiated, Troy Duffy is of course the borderline talented Irish-American bartender/bouncer/screenwriter who is best known for writing and directing The Boondock Saints (1999).
Once thought (for about 5 minutes) to be the next big thing in Hollywood, Mr. Duffy would go on to become the subject of a cautionary tale of sorts, one that is detailed in the documentary we'll be covering in today's episode, Overnight (2003).
