Sep 8th - Fr. Patrick McCafferty grew up in Belfast Northern Ireland. As a child he experienced sexual abuse - and again later as a seminarian further abuse from a priest. Fr. McCafferty recounts his difficult journey involving bringing his abuser to justice - and catastrophic failures of those in local church leadership. He was one of eight abuse survivors who met Pope Francis on his recent historic visit to Ireland for the World meeting of Families.

July 5th marked the 700th anniversary of the consecration of the great cathedral of St. Andrews, brought to ruin during the Reformation. Bishop Stephen Robson of the Dunkeld diocese spoke a powerful and sobering message at the anniversary mass in which he reflected on the state of the Church in the 21st century. His message is featured in today’s show, in which we take a look at the faith in Scotland. Paul MacAree visits Edinburgh - and Dougie and Margaret Hunter, founders of Scotland’s New Dawn Conference, held annually in St. Andrews. In light of Bishop Robson’s message, they discuss signs of renewal in modern day Scotland.
