they start with a timeline of events leading from the Arab Spring (Zaynab shares her experiences of that in Egypt) to the Syrian Civil War and what's happening currently.

they talk about Assad (bad man) being another in a long line of boogeymen for the west and how the western media has been reacting. Their feelings on what's going on and then the comeback of the popular image of the Evil Arab exemplified perfectly in the trailer for the new Alex Garland movie "Warfare".

Another post election malaise episode! The Ligers discuss the idea of a thousand year reign for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. Then they dip into some of the best Irish political comedy (The Phoenix and a youtube sketch comedy guy called Something Moore) to get a read on general vibes in the country. James talks about a book he's reading on conspiracy theories which leads to a discussion on Irish journos obsession with the US.

The Ligers further pick through the ashes of General Election 2024 referencing a Journal article by Paul Murphy. They watch a clip of former housing minister Eoghan Murphy talk about his mental health. THEN a belated celebration of International Men's Day reading an article by The Irish Independent about white cis het Irish male celebrities being asked about their favourite white cis het Irish men. Actually I think John Boyne is gay but whatever...

The Ligers recorded a half hour of immediate mourning on the Sunday after the General Election 2024. They talk about Stefanie Preissner giving her invaluable post election insights, Gerry The Monk Hutch being done dirty and they take bitter enjoyment about The Greens eating shite.
