All three of the synoptic gospels give an account of Jesus healing the boy possessed by a demonic spirit. In today’s teaching we’ll learn why we often can’t do what we know needs to be done and learn to apply the missing ingredient for sustaining faith.

In the context of one of Jesus’ most well-known miracles we find a great hidden truth about the power of the Gospel. Today we’ll look at the miracle of Jesus feeding the multitude, and gain insight into the authority the disciples had to carry and continue the work of the Gospel to those in need.

Today we will study the sending of the twelve disciples. We will see how Jesus prepared them and gave them authority to accomplish what He had called them to do. He instructed them “go” and taught them how to share what they believed with others.

John 3:16 is probably the most well-known and most quoted verse in the entire Bible. But there’s much more to gain from the full context of Jesus’ words in the third chapter of John. Today we’ll examine Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus and seek to gain a deeper understanding of HOW the gospel

changes a life.

with Jesus selecting and calling His disciples. Let’s take

special note on the culture and context of the choices Jesus

makes for the very first apostles (sent ones) of His church.

This week we’ll look at the life of one of last week’s main characters, John the Baptist. The works of his life and the spirit in which he operated are key to having a deeper understanding of the Gospel both now and in the future.

Our study begins with two very important yet often overlooked characters of the Gospel story. Zacharias and Elizabeth are old in age and have never had children. According to what we see in scripture, they have been petitioning God for a child (Luke 1:13). God sends the angel Gabriel to bring the “good news” that they will have a son, yet the delivery of this news reveals doubt in Zacharias’ heart.
