  • Philippians - From Idealistic to Realistic - Audio
Sunday, November 19, 2023 – We continue studying Philippians. Today's message is titled "From Idealistic to Realistic." Here's a question: When you listen to a pastor or bible teacher, are the messages so high, lofty, and "Idealistic" that they sound unachievable? If they are, do they become a rhetorical discussion without applicable application? If that's the case, how do we move from being "Idealistic" in nature to "Realistic" in application? That's what we're talking about in this message. As we look at the prayer that Paul prays for the church in Philippi, it may appear to be an Idealistic prayer. When we break down the prayer by looking at the key phrases and inviting the power of the Holy Spirit to work in us, we move from the “Idealistic" to the "Realistic," which is when God's revelation knowledge changes us. Let me end this introduction with one more crucial question that will help you see the importance of what we're discussing. Here's the question: At your funeral, how do you want your children and grandchildren to remember you? What do you want your "Legacy" to be? By defining that, you can proactively set goals to be satisfied when that time comes. Think about these questions as you worship and study all with us.

  • Philippians - Abounding in God's Love - PDF
Sunday, November 12, 2023 – Today's message continues the study of Philippians titled "Abounding in God's Love." The book's theme is God's love, expressed in joy, peace, and hope. Based on God's character, Paul teaches that true love abounds in knowledge and depth of insight. True love is action-based, and as it grows, it produces fruit that is seen and felt by people and, obviously, by God. God expresses His love for us through His faithfulness; the challenge is to return His love by seeking knowledge and depth of insight by discerning God's BEST and not settling for less based on worldly compromise. There is much to consider, so worship and study with us…

  • Philippians - Joy In All Things - PDF
Sunday, November 5, 2023 – Today, we are beginning a new study on the book of Philippians. You may wonder why we should study this book by Paul and what we will get out of it. That’s a good question, and I have a great answer – because this book is about Joy and peace, and having these God-given attributes results in having a Hope that lasts for eternity. We’re living in the End Days, and the days ahead will not get better or more manageable for the world or the believer; that’s why we need Joy, Peace, and Hope now more than ever. The world can’t give this, and the world can’t take it away. Worship and study with us and invite the presence of God’s Joy to fill you and give you peace and hope.
