The CPP crew spoke with Josh Divers, from Seven Sirens Brewing in Bethlehem, PA and Easton, PA. and learned all about their journey to start a brewery in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We find out their background and all about the sirens idea and that their beer will sing to you. But, you have to be in the shower and listen closely to hear the song! From their idea for the location to having their own AirBnB on site. This is a must visit location and experience all that they offer.
We sampled with Josh an IPA, a light lager, white ale and a sour.

Aldus Brewing
Season 3 Episode 8
The CPP crew had the pleasure of having Jason Mininger and Ryan Magee from Aldus Brewing in Hanover, PA in studio. What a great time finding out how they got started and where the name came from (Aldus Manutius). Their slogan, "Festina Lente" or make haste slowly, represents the quality of their product and the time they put into it. We learn about their business from distribution, to brew pub, expansion and even a craft malt vinegar program. If you've never been to Aldus in Hanover, we recommend making a stop to see them.
Jason and Ryan brought along a wild sour, an ale, IPA and barrel aged stout. We enjoyed all of them and as mentioned in the episode, we had the privilege of sampling three different years of their Red Rye Revival (2017, 2018, 2022). All three of us agreed that the 2018 was our favorite of the three, but we enjoyed all of them and can't wait to try the 2023 version.

The CPP crew sat down with Jeff, Brian & Natalie from Hell In A Bucket Brewing in Wrightsville, PA. Note, Jeff's business partner, Matt, was unable to attend.
What a fun and fantastic time we had with them talking about their beer and where the name came from. Jeff is somewhat of a Grateful Dead fanatic which he names his beers after and Brian and Natalie talk about the "good vibes" at Hell In A Bucket. From their Open Mic nights hosted by Brian and his band, Old World Otters, and trivia, you need to stop in and pay them a visit and get into the vibe....GOOD VIBES ONLY!
They brought along a hazy IPA, stout, Belgian Strong and a double IPA and a barrel aged Belgian Quad. WOW!

Trace Brewing

Bret and Dave had the pleasure of talking with Aadam Soorma from Trace Brewing in Pittsburgh, PA. Aadam reached out after Bret had visited them back in March. The visit was by recommendation and glad it was. Trace is a quaint place to visit with a cool industrial feel. Besides great beer, they also do gourmet coffee. Aadam filled us in his journey to Trace and the whole story behind what Trace is all about. They also help teach the future generation of brewers with their Vocational Program. What a great idea! If you're interested in participating, it is limited so get in early.

If you're ever in the Pittsburgh area, specifically the Bloomfield neighborhood, I highly recommend a visit to them.
Aadam sent us a few beers to sample; fruited gose, cream ale and an awesome barrel-aged stout.

Dave and Bret are in studio together while Kevin is off traveling. They had an extreme blast, full of laughter and good discussion, with Mike Knaub from Starview Brews in Columbia, PA
Mike has been at this a long time and was one of the originals brewing at the beginning of the craft beer trend in Pennsylvania back in the '90's. Tune in to hear more of his story, how long he's been doing this and what led to him finally achieving his dream of opening a brew pub.
He brought along a lager, red IPA and a Russian Imperial Stout for us to sample.

Well we weren't quite sure until Mike explained it to us. It came from his passion of bird watching and doing competitions, who knew? Dave and Bret had a great time with Jared Barnes from Collusion Tap Works in York, PA and Lititz, PA. We had a great time getting to know Jared and what drives him to make some quality craft beer. From his passion to open his location in Royal Square in York City and then to open a taproom in Lititz. Listen in and find out how much fun we had talking with Jared and even having some special releases with local bands, like Verminoth.
We tasted an awesome pilsner (one of Jared's favorites), American lager, hazy IPA, double IPA and a fruited sour. Don't let him fool you at the end, he loves sours!!!!

Season 3 Episode 2 - Something Wicked Brewing
Dave and Bret sat down with Jon Sanders (taproom manager) and Josh Kinard (head brewer) from Something Wicked Brewing in Hanover, PA. What a blast we had learning about how a group of Parrotheads that had the idea of starting a brewery and how they came up with the name. And they will be celebrating their 8th anniversary on June 8, 2023.
We find out how Jon got involved and what got Josh into brewing. This should be a definite stop when in Hanover, because there's always something wicked going on!

Welcome to Season 3 of the Central PA Pour!
We had all three of us in studio and had the pleasure of sitting down and talking to Adam Chamberlain from Cartel Brewing & Blending in Lancaster, PA. We find out how he came up with the name and logo and it's a very interesting story and NOT what you think of when you hear the word cartel. He describes his passion and different style of creating a quality craft beer and did we enjoy what he brought for us to try. Listen in and hear his story and you must make it a bucket list visit when in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
We sampled a Czech pilsner, English mild ale, hazy IPA, cream ale, milk stout and barrel aged barleywine.
