Text: Hebrews 1:1-3

Summary: People enjoy Christmas for a lot of reasons: gifts, family, decorations, holidays, and so on. However, even all those things are good and enjoyable they are not what Christmas is all about, Christmas is all about Jesus - God coming down in flesh bringing good news of great joy, the Savior has come. The writer of Hebrew says that the coming of Jesus was God's best and last way that He speaks to us, the question begs to be asked then: are we listening?

Text - I Timothy 6:5-21

Summary:

Blurb: Teaching through I Timothy in 2007 has been a wild ride to say the least. There are so many topics and issues within this great letter that butt up against current thoughts and trends that its tough to know where to start, however, Paul may have saved his best for last. Not best because of its importance but best because of pertinence and influence - the topic? Money.

Text: 2 Timothy 1: 3-14

Summary: The next time we find ourselves going through a rough patch, let us remember all the good things God has already done for us and through us. Just like Timothy, we need to be reminded of our purpose and calling. Being reminded of this will shed some important light on our current struggles whatever they may be.

Text: I Timothy 4:1-8

Summary: Satan is called a lot of things in the Bible, and none good: a liar, murderer, deceiver, accuser, blinder, devourer, and so on. The problem with all of this is that Satan is also a master of disguises, he doesn't come as advertised but instead wraps himself up in men and women who through their deception lead people away from Jesus.

Text: I Timothy 3: 1-16

Summary: What and Why? Two important questions regarding the offices of the elder and deacon. What do they do, what are the qualifications but in the midst of that is the necessity of answering the question why. Why do we need them? What is it about the church and the call she has that necessitates the need for elders and deacons?
