Text: Matthew 27:1-10

There is a beautiful tragedy tucked away in these verses that leaves us with a profoundly important question. How is it that Judas, who walked with Jesus for three years, was unable to find restoration after his sin? How is it that his grief over sin lead to death instead of life? And how do we guard ourselves against the same thing? How do we access the radical grace of God and find freedom from the crushing weight of guilt, sin, and shame?

Text: Matthew 26:69-75

Next to Jesus the disciples took their cues from Peter. He was a born leader: strong, courageous, and had the will to back it up. But on the night of Jesus' arrest and trial Peter turned on Jesus. He denied ever even knowing Him. How could this happen? How could such a strong man fall so completely? In this sermon, we will see how the location of Peter's confidence, the longing of Peter's enemy, and the love of Peter's God all conspired to lead him to such a terrible and gracious collapse.

Text: Matthew 26:57-68

In this sermon we will focus on the events immediately following the surrender of Jesus to His Father in the garden. We will watch as the power of darkness rages against him. We'll see the crimes of passion committed against Him. We listen to the sound of His silence as He stood trial. And we will examine ourselves for the theatrics of deception that were performed that night.

Text: Matthew 26:30-35

Why did the disciples all flee from Jesus on the night of His arrest and what can we learn from them to help in our moments of testing? And most importantly, what are we to know of Jesus in those moments of failure? That's what this sermon addresses.

Text: Matthew 26:26-29

In this sermon we will unpack what Jesus meant when, at the last supper, He said the bread was His body and the wine, His blood. What did He mean by all of that? And how are we supposed to eat and live out the communion meal today?

Text: Missions Sunday

This week we will take a look at how 'Making Jesus Known' is not just the mission statement of Westside, but the purpose and mission for all of humanity and even God himself. We'll see how the plan of God from before the world began was to reveal himself through Christ, and how we can more faithfully engage in the mission of 'making him known'.

Text: Matthew 26:17-25

As we continue Jesus' walk toward the cross we'll take some time to slow down in the upper room during the last supper. What can we learn about our own hearts and lives as Jesus' disciples are confronted by the sin of Judas?
