On this weeks episode I have my wife on as my on as my cohost and together we talk to Mike Castro. Mike is a local union field technician who works on crew trucks and other equipment in Hollywood for the sets of movies and tv shows. We talk about new technician, helpers, his type on work etc. This was a fun episode and learned a lot about an industry that we didn't even know existed! Hope y'all enjoy the episode!
On this weeks episode we changed it up and I am joined by Trent Norton and Travis "Buda" Glenn again and our weekly guest is Carlos Nunez. Carlos is a friend of mine that came down here to Texas from Oklahoma and he is a John Deere AG field tech that went through the Deere tech program and we talk a bit about that, service trucks, tools and footwear. With this group podcast things were slightly all over the place but we made it through the train wreck!
On this weeks episode I am joined by Mrs. Certified as my cohost and we are joined on the phone by Myranda Carter. On this episode, we discuss what led a former pageant girl to start turning a wrench and her journey to becoming a technician. Myranda is the first female technician that we have hosted on the Podcast and we hope to be joined by more in the future as it is apparent that she was able to provide valuable insight in to working with a female technician and also how to become a successful female technician in a male dominated trade. We also learn that the individual that drove her to pursue this career is from within her own family, her grandmother.
On this weeks episode I am joined by Wade Bohde, he is the owner operator of the newer business Freedom Field Service. On this episode we dive into being a new business owner and the politics of starting a business and the pros and cons. We discuss where he started, experience, tools and much more. Wade is rising fast with his company and has been doing great his first year and we are glad to be partnered with him since the beginning of the Certified Wrench Podcast! On this weeks episode I am joined by one of my best friends "Buda". We discuss how he started and where he's at now and little random stories in between from our past, we also discuss service truck organization, service trucks, tools and more. This episode was just more of a laid back and shoot the sh!t buddies type episode to make up for our last episode that we tried to record while having a few too many beers! mind you there were beers involved in this episode as well, hope y'all enjoy!
This weeks episode we are joined by TJ Woodland AKA Mr. Blackfoot of Blackfoot Mechanical LLC out of Austin TX. We discuss his background, college, underwater diving career and his current career working out in the oil fields of west Texas and the difficulties of being away from home. We talk tools and trucks including his new service truck that requires a CDL and the obstacles that come with obtaining a CDL with the new law that is now in place. I love learning new stuff and love hearing the type of work that he does day to day. I hope y'all enjoy the episode and I do apologize for the sound quality as he was in the middle of no where in west Texas during the recoding!

This week we talk how she got to where she is today, pay raises, how to deal with difficult customers and also how to manage working as a field technician and being the wife to a field technician.
We are hoping to have more females in the trade join us and give some insight on their day to day life as a field technician in the future.

We discuss how he got into the industry and where he's at now, we talk about his take on certain machines, dealership talk and much more. On this weeks episode I am joined over the phone by Zeth Key, Zeth is a Deere Ag technician based in Illinois and has an awesome youtube channel known as ZK Mastertech. Zeth and I linked up and we discuss how he started the youtube channel and the tough times at the beginning, we also discuss other topics about the industry, he shares a crazy story and we just have a good time sitting back and talking like old friends. We are definitely going to have to have Zeth back on for a part two to discuss more topics, Zeth is a great dude and I really enjoyed teaming up with him for this episode.
