The sublime experience pushes us towards ethical skepticism and moral pluralism by confronting us with our own limitations. We are small ape-like creatures with a meager intelligence and we should never be so confident about our own ideas that we should impose them on others. I analyze how Roosevelt and Truman sold socialist policies to conservative capitalist through the guise of 'helping the free market'.
