In many instances life can be difficult filled with challenges and obstacles. So many times those things can weigh on you so much affecting our ability to make decisions and choices that are positive. Brother Josh is stepping up and declaring change. Change to the broken system, change to our neighborhoods and most importantly change to our lives and children’s lives. Support comes in many forms but this time participation is necessary if we are to give this brother a chance to deliver change.

Words are powerful and a disagreement is an opportunity to establish clarity. Awareness is futile and our people are in need of leadership. Some think the way to evoke change is through politics which entails voting and trusting candidates to do what is right for the people. While others are more radical and think we need to do for ourselves. 

In this episode we see Ralph and Ellis disagree. This is an example of how conversations can and will change when  debating the state of our people. Determining  whether an  opinion is right or wrong depends on the audience.

Born to an  Immigrant mother and an absent father due to exceptional reasons, Ellis managed to overcome and positioned himself as a key player in life. The month of February should be a time for remembrance and reflection. The mistakes that were made that lead our ancestors into captivity but also the strength, courage, and determination displayed by them moving the needle forward so we could experience freedom. We must never forget we were more than slaves but we must never forget our ancestors plight in this country. It is our duty as a people to keep moving forward with love and positivity towards one another.
