None of us naturally gravitate to humility. We want to pursue our own comfort first. But, for there to be unity amongst God’s people in the Church, God’s people must be growing in humility, with Jesus as their model.

Humility. How do you know when you have it? Should you know when you have it? Probably not. But you can work toward humility and if you are a follower of Jesus the Bible teaches you how to do that.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds the believer in Jesus the battle they are involved in is a spiritual battle, "against the spiritual forces of evil". Keeping that clear in our minds will help us remember that the fight we're in is not against people.

We need a foundational understanding of what spiritual warfare is. We won’t have a good handle on the spiritual warfare that we are already involved in as believers in Christ without a clear understanding of what the Bible says about the enemy.

What is unity? We hear a lot of talk in political circles of unity these days. We should all be unified we’re told. But what is unity? As believers in Jesus, the church needs to understand what unity is. Let's see how the Bible speaks to this in Philippians 2:1-2.

Believers still need to be prepared to suffer for the cause of Christ. We haven’t had to face the severe kinds of suffering for the sake of Christ that many throughout history have faced or even in other parts of the world face today.
