Do you do everything in extremes? All or nothing? Are you searching for a way to find that ever elusive *MoDeRaTiOn* (cue eye roll. ) Well this is the solo episode for you!
First we dive into why there has been a slight pause on episode releases for Charge My Core which actually ties in really well with the topic of today's episode. Obviously ;) Then we dive into Nuance- the definition and two elements of nuance, nuanced intersectionalism, and growth vs. fixed mindset.
We also cover a concept from an article by Tayo Rockson about the framework of nuanced intersectionalism. Here is the full article: https://tayorockson.com/blog/the-lost-art-of-nuance (which was written in 2018 and is even more relevant today.

TW: SUICIDE
Do you consider yourself to be "the strong friend?" Are you someone that people turn to for emotional support and advice? Do people have a perception of you that isn't necessarily accurate based on the way your present to the outside world?
With the tragic global news of Cheslie Kryst dying by alleged suicide this week and so much advice circulating the internet about "checking on your strong friends." I wanted to dive into this topic because suicide is extremely close to my heart and so few people talk about it.
This is a kick in the butt style episode to inspire us ALL to examine and determine how to change at a macro level.
I reference an amazing Instagram post from Marline Francois which you can see on her profile here.
I also reference a previous Charge My Core episode entitled "I Need to Ask for Help: But HOW?"
This is inspired by my interpretation and opinion of how the public and the media deals with tragic suicides. I am sending all my love to those who love Cheslie Kryst and are impacted by her passing. May she rest in peace.

In episode 56, I give you a PEP TALK if you really want to reevaluate your inner critic and how you are speaking to yourself. How can trending audios on social media help? Well, like all of "the work" I believe it doesn't have to be super serious. GO LITTLE ROCKSTAR!
Just like all of our relationships, our relationship with ourself FLUCTUATES! This is normal.
And spoiler alert: there is SCIENCE behind positive affirmations and their impact on our brain!
