Yeshayahu prophesies that the glory of Hashem will be seen and that the Bnei Yisrael should give each other strength and hope in the Divine retribution and redemption.

He says that the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the lame will skip, and the mute will sing about the abundance of water which will break out in the desert.

He says there will be a path called the “Derech HaKodesh” through which the redeemed will return to Tzion and there will not be a lion or any other bold animal found there.

    ● He speaks about the mourning over the Churban and the desolation of Israel and how Hashem will say that He is rising up to be exalted and show His might.

Sinners will fear and there will no longer be brazen people.

    ● Yerushalayim will be seen as a holy abode, there will be “wide rivers” which even large boats will be unable to cross and Hashem will save us.

There will be abundant spoils and inhabitants of Yerushalayim will never say that they are sick.

Yeshayahu continues to prophesy that the king of Yerushalayim and his officers will govern with righteousness and it will be as refreshing as pools of water in an arid place.

People will finally see, hear, understand, and speak properly and miserly and vile people will no longer be called magnanimous.

Yeshayahu then turns to prophesy regarding the “complacent and confident women” who wil shudder and mourn when the harvest stops coming in year after year.

There will be destruction and desolation as the “palace” will have been abandoned but ultimately a “spirit from on high” will turn the desert to fertile land bringing justice and peace, causing the nation to dwell with security, tranquility, and abundance.

    ● Klal Yisrael is castigated by Yeshayahu for relying on Mitzrayim for protection and not Hashem.

    ● Yeshayahu is instructed to write on a tablet and in a book a prophecy that will happen as a result of their decision to seek refuge in Egypt, because the nation doesn’t want to hear the word of Hashem and they ask seers and prophets to say “smooth things” and fantasies and to remove Hashem from them.

    ● The nevuah is that Hashem will break down their source of security (Egypt) and they will be pursued by their enemies because despite Hashem’s promise of security, they will seek refuge in Egypt; Hashem will not be merciful to them.

    ● Yeshayahu exclaims “praiseworthy” to those who await Hashem.

    ● Yeshayahu then shares another nevuah about how the people will dwell securely in Tzion and will look towards their Teacher and abandon all idolatry.

There will be rain and sustenance and the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun.

    ● Yeshayahu then describes in metaphor what Hashem’s anger and vengeance will look like and how He will reveal His strength when He breaks down Ashur and prepares them for the limitless inferno of the Hell that awaits it and its king.

Yeshayahu prophesies about the destruction and distress of the city of “Ariel” where Dovid camped and the subsequent “sudden” remembrance of the nation and retribution against the enemies who will be as if woken up from a dream in which they were dominant.

He then turns to rebuke the nation for acting blind and drunk.

He compares the prophecies of the time to sealed documents.

He then rebukes the nation for only honoring G-d with their mouths but distancing their hearts, only serving Him by rote.

He then says woe to those who try to hide things from G-d, comparing it to pottery to say the potter didn’t make it or can’t understand it.

He prophesies that the deaf will hear, the blind will see, and the humble and poor will rejoice with Hashem while the scoffers and intentional sinners will be destroyed.

Then, Yaakov will not be ashamed of his descendants as they will sanctify Hashem’s name.

    ● Yeshayahu laments what will befall the drunkards of Ephraim, namely their quick destructions.

    ● At that point, the remainder of the nation (Yehudah and Binyamin) will accept Hashem as their Priority and Pride, as they too had erred and strayed due to drunkenness.

    ● Yeshayahu asks if it’s only toddlers that can be taught things and laments how the nation can’t heed his warnings, as if they are in a different language.

    ● He rebukes the cynical leaders of the nation for their attitude and warns them that Hashem is “laying a foundation stone” and will therefore bring retribution and their cynicism will make it worse.

    ● He then compares the situation to a mashal of a farmer who obviously doesn’t just plow all the time but rather plows a little and then plants, and each type of seeds gets a nuanced treatment befitting it.

    ● He says the same regarding the wheat-grinding process when making bread, and concludes that “this is also from Hashem.”

Yeshayahu sings a shir about the future salvation and the benefit of having faith in Hashem.

He prays for justice against the nations so that they will finally see His strength and he prays for peace for the Jewish people who kept Him as their G-d no matter who ruled over them.

He says that Klal Yisrael turned to Him in their time of distress and accepted His rebuke, and he compares them to a woman crying out in her birth pangs who have not yet given birth.

He prays for the downfall of the evil and for the revivification of the dead.

He then tells Klal Yisrael to take cover until after Hashem’s wrath passes and serves justice.
