Joel Quenneville was already an established coach when the Blackhawks tabbed him to succeed Denis Savard 4 games into the 08-09 campaign. The Hawks made it back to the playoffs that year, and all the way to the Conference Final. A year later, they won the first of 3 Stanley Cups under Quenneville, who would coach the Hawks for 11 years.
