Today, the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Chiefs extended a state of emergency until Tuesday, September 29th. This follows incidents surrounding the Mi'kmaq lobster fishery near Digby. In the meantime, the lead of the Land, Wildlife and Forestry Department chief Rod Googoo issued a release about the moose hunt. Chief Googoo joined Mainstreet to tell us about that.
