The former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd, says people can expect China's aggressive and confrontational diplomacy to continue for the time being.

Rudd who is a fluent Mandarin speaker says the posture is likely to remain at least until next November's 20th party congress where President Xi is expected to stay on for a third term in power.
