Occasionally we here at The Choir Practice Podcast have to pay tribute to the guests who have helped this show be all that it is today! While I appreciate EVERY guest on the show, Mike was so generous with his time and authentic in his sharing of both his personal and professional lives.

So it is my honor to bring his first interview back to the lime light and share it again for maybe some of you unfortunate souls who did not yet hear it!!!

Give him some love, tell your friends who have not yet tuned in, this is one they do not want to miss...

Just like every guest, nerves grab ahold and many leave without hitting all the highlights they intended when they walked in the door. Greg walked away, but stayed in touch to let me know he had many more up his sleeve and needed to return and finish setting the record straight....

I'm glad to know him and even more glad he's an official member of our Squad! Give him another warm welcome, sit back and enjoy the ride!!!

Robert "Bobby" Cox grew up between Arizona and Michigan. AS a young man he got himself wrapped up in some legal troubles and came to a cross road where he had to make a decision... Being drafted by the Army during the Vietnam War helped boost him into a life of service and he never looked back.

He has a very storied career; Patrol, SWAT, Detective in Burglary and Homicide...

This episode covers his career with the Sheriff's Department, he's coming back and we're going to chat about his brief stint with Oro Valley PD and his time as a Constable.

Give him a warm welcome, please enjoy the show!

Gary was kind enough to come over and hang out. I'm so glad he did. 27.5 years of service in a legacy family. He forgot to mention it (Nerves) but his son is now on the department, so that's 3 generations who have served the City of Tucson.

I'm anxious for you all to hear how Gary's career (Patrol, Bikes, Vice, SWAT, and K9) turned out. He served with honor, had a few tough times but left on his terms and has made a pretty good run of being semi-retired. He plays in a band called Southern Reins and runs a residential and commercial electrical company.

Turn him up, enjoy the show!

Al started his career in Pima County as a Sheriff Deputy. Much like me, he lateraled to another agency to make better pay and more opportunities.

During his tenure at the Sheriff's Department, he worked both Rincon and San Xavier Districts. He FTO'd rookies and became the FTO Coordinator prior to heading north.

In Chandler, he worked patrol and became a K9 handler. He worked two partners, Chase and Robbie, during his career. He retired and moved his talents to the railroad as a Special Agent.

I'm excited for you all to hear his tales, please give him the warmest Squad welcome and enjoy the show...

Terry said he was a trouble maker as a kid growing up in Avra Valley. After some shenanigans, a local Deputy found him and read him the riot act. He ultimately joined the AZ Department of Corrections, working in Florence and Tucson. He tested for the Sheriff's Department, but became a Reserve prior to getting hired full time in 1990.

He had a tremendous career, during his 26 years with the department, he worked in several positions including patrol, detective, SWAT, community resources, and heading up the Mental Health Support Team. Somewhere in there, he decided to run for Sheriff of Pima County, at the request of many of his coworkers. I'm excited for you to get to know him, tune in and turn it up!!!

Look him up! Jay's career was extremely successful, but it did not come without personal and professional costs!  Danger, intrigue, smoke and mirrors...living an under cover lifestyle was wrought with danger, but the stakes and rewards were high.

I'm so honored he agreed to be on the show and take yet one more opportunity to create a lasting legacy beyond our years! We had a great conversation and, I'll say it again, I'm so happy the coolest Squad of folks I know get an opportunity to meet Jay.

Buckle up, turn up the volume and hold on...

This young man is a jack of all trades...
He was on episode 124 with his wife, Orchid, but needed to come back and go into more detail about his life and professional experiences.

I am honored to have him, glad he agreed to come back, and I'm excited for The Squad to catch up on some his experiences.

Give him the warmest welcomes and please enjoy this weeks episode...
