Dads get no respect. It took 62 years for Father’s Day to become a thing. And when it did, Moms got upset that someone else was getting credit. If a child grows up to be a punk, what do we do? We look at the parental situation and whether or not there was a dad in the picture. Even if Dad was a part of the kid’s life, we look at how much he drank, how much he worked, how much he cussed, how much he attended the kid’s activities. How about we just give a shout out to all the good and mediocre dads out there who gave it all they had. That’s not diminishing moms’ roles, that’s amplifying the many influences we’ve had in our upbringing. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to step out for a pack of smokes. Don’t wait up. A little love for the dads working today, like these spoiled white guys from around the globe who have access to the most exclusive club in LA. Who has that much time to go protest people spreading love? Ugh. Plus, there’s the whole “Streisand Effect” so the more they protest, the more attention the whole matter gets. Can’t we all just get along? A woman from the Bay Area is stealing credit for finding a massive mastodon tooth. She just took a pic and kept walking but the real hero is the jogger who actually took it home and saved it for the museum. I imagine the last part of his jog was much tougher trying to haul that around. It's all on KFIAM-640
