Angie and Stevens are back this week discussing some issues Stevens has found when talking to atheists and agnostics. Stevens claims they redefine what the word “faith” means and how it is used. Stevens floors on to explain that many non-theists use the word faith when the really mean to say “blind faith”. Faith and blind faith are not interchangeable terms and Angie and Stevens explain why. Additionally, Stevens has found that atheists in particular l, not all, but some, are clinging to an aspect of intellectual laziness when opting to refuse to give a reason for their negative claim, stating that the burden of proof is exclusive to the person making the positive claim and not the negative claim. In this case, the positive being, “God does exist”, and the negative being, “God does not exist”. As Stephen Law, PhD in an article he wrote in, “Psychology Today”, on 09-15-2011, says and Stevens has now adopted, “assuming that a negative claim cannot be proven is folk logic”.
