Christ Alone Podcast

Angie and Stevens are back!! Starting season 2 discussing something many people do not understand or accept, even some Christians. Angie goes over the verses that are explicit in showing the Trinity, and Stevens discusses some of the logic and reason behind accepting the Trinity as we compare it to other trinities that we already accept that involve science and critical thinking in relation to scripture. This week Angie and Stevens continue their thought on LGBTQ+ and how they support the community. The also address a misconception within Christianity where people falsely believe “only God can judge me”, or “we aren’t here to judge others”. Stevens and Angie explain how biblically, this is demonstrably false and encourage Christians to keep investing in relationship with God. This week Angie and Stevens answer some questions that were raised to them personally and on social media. Stevens explains some of his current arguments for the existence of God that are directly supported by science and philosophy. In the process Angie has trouble saying “Kalam cosmological”, and has difficulty seeing how in the ontological argument you get from the first premise to the last. Can you figure it out? It’s ok if you do not understand, it took Stevens studying the ontological argument for several days and watching explanatory videos on it for him to understand it. I think it is a safe bet that Angie and Stevens will tackle this argument in greater detail sometime in the future. You can also just ask questions on social media or directly at 407-796-2881. Angie and Stevens are back this week discussing some issues Stevens has found when talking to atheists and agnostics. Stevens claims they redefine what the word “faith” means and how it is used. Stevens floors on to explain that many non-theists use the word faith when the really mean to say “blind faith”. Faith and blind faith are not interchangeable terms and Angie and Stevens explain why. Additionally, Stevens has found that atheists in particular l, not all, but some, are clinging to an aspect of intellectual laziness when opting to refuse to give a reason for their negative claim, stating that the burden of proof is exclusive to the person making the positive claim and not the negative claim. In this case, the positive being, “God does exist”, and the negative being, “God does not exist”. As Stephen Law, PhD in an article he wrote in, “Psychology Today”, on 09-15-2011, says and Stevens has now adopted, “assuming that a negative claim cannot be proven is folk logic”. This week Angie and Stevens continue their talk about the importance of every Christian exercising apologetics. Why is every Christian called to be an apologist? Why is it so important? How do we do that? Where can a Christian start their pursuit and study of apologetics? Why “the reason I believe in God is because of my experience and faith”, not a good enough argument outside the Christian circles?

This week Angie and Stevens discuss how every Christian is called to be an apologist. This adds to the fact that by default, every disciple of Christ is not just a believer, but also an apologist. Would Angie and Stevens accept that God does not exist if it could be proven? How would they take that? They also answer these questions and encourage everyone to explore truth. Stevens challenges people who live by evidence to look at the evidence that supports the life death and resurrection of Jesus and the authenticity of the Bible. Angie and Stevens provide two sources outside of Christianity that historically supports what the Bible said about Jesus.
