If you were to compare your ideal life with your life right now, what would the difference be? Would you be richer, more famous/successful in your career? What would be your priority in your heart?

Today, we begin a 4-part series on Worship. Let's start with what God calls us to give in our worship.

This world sends the message that you just need that one last thing to be happy. God says otherwise.

Everybody knows we are to honor, but hardly anyone knows how to define it. We can describe it - stand up when someone walks into the room, listen intently, a moment of silence. Honor is hard to define, but it’s unmissable when you experience it. Paul says if ever there should be a place to show honor to one another - it’s the church.

In 1 Timothy 4, Paul calls Timothy to fight three battles. This idea of being a soldier and fighting the good fight, is throughout 1 Timothy. Paul is speaking into Timothy to fight the good fight - the three battles mentioned in ch. 4 are battles you will fight and today is the day we have victory over these battles.

1 Timothy is a snapshot of a leader, Paul, pouring into a growing leader, Timothy. He says, “Timothy, this is what you need to become AND when you look for leaders, these are the qualities they need to have.”
