We have Christmas Gifts. However, what we often forget or are uncomfortable with is sharing those gifts. If we truly embraced the gifts God gave us through Jesus, we would be shouting it to the rooftops.

I love Christmas, this is a huge week - we have five total Christmas gatherings. I love how we’ll end tonight with the candlelight thing because it’s got fire and I love fire. We’ve been talking about that Christmas is for everyone. Christmas is for ALL the people. It should be for everyone, but sometimes it’s advertised so that it’s not for everyone.

We have various groups of people here this morning. One is a group of people that’s just been blessed by God. This Christmas, you’re giving stuff away because you have an abundance. Then there’s a group and you wonder if God even exist because you don’t have plenty, you don’t even have enough, so you question the whole God thing.

Remember not wanting to go to bed the night before? Or counting how many presents you had under the tree, or shaking your present trying to guess what it was. There’s so much anticipation and excitement about Christmas when you’re a kid.

So where did that go?

The challenge to dancing to the music is that many people believe in worship, we are to enjoy self, please self, promote self and glorify self. We want a worship that pleases us, one we can enjoy, one in line with what we want. God wants us to know we are to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever in our worship.

We just started a series in celebration of the plans God has for this church. Last week, we learned how thankful we should be for the generosity of our members and regular attenders. This week, we celebrate the blessing of friendship God has given us.

Thanksgiving is not an effort to simply see the glass half full all the time. That may increase our quality of living for a time, but it cannot stand on its own.

We believe we can experience greater things. Before we leave this earth, how can our families, our church, and our friends experience greater things?

To belong recognizes the difference our collective effort makes in our ability to do greater things. Scripture tells us that Christianity is a team sport. The greater things that happen in your life are not individual accomplishments, but they are team wins.

There are thousands of people you know about, care about who need to have their eternities changed forever. There are thousands yet to hear the message of Jesus, right here in this area.
