You are altogether beautiful, my darling; in you there is no flaw. — Song of Solomon 4:7
Christ says to His bride, “You are altogether beautiful, my darling; in you there is no flaw.” But you know what you really look like—wounds and bruises, righteousness like filthy rags. How can He say this? Because He sees you in Himself—washed, sanctified, justified in Christ, presented without spot or wrinkle. You’re not beautiful in yourself; you’re beautiful in Him.
