For this reason Christ died and returned to life, that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. — Romans 14:9

Because Christ is Lord of both the dead and the living, no human power or grave can loosen his grip on his people. Every breath we take and every moment beyond the tomb falls under his sovereign care. This means our entire existence—from now through eternity—is held securely in his pierced hands.

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. — Matthew 6:10

God’s will is not a list of commands but the design of a restored creation where every thought and desire matches His holiness. Because He is holy, His will always leads to life, not loss. Those born of His truth become the first taste of that world, finding their true purpose only in surrender to Him.

“Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. — Daniel 10:12

We live in the already-and-not-yet: the kingdom has come in Christ, but we're still waiting for its full manifestation. So we pray for more of his reign now while longing for the day when he makes all things new.

that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. — 2 Corinthians 5:19

True peace is not found in human effort but in the finished work of a God who initiates restoration. This divine movement removes the barrier of guilt, allowing for a relationship defined by grace rather than performance. So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. — Matthew 6:9

To pray "hallowed be Your name" is to surrender the throne of your life. The creature's deepest need is not to have needs met, but to see the Creator rightly. When God's holiness becomes the center, every other desire finds its proper orbit.
