Mary chats with pastor, author and evangelist David Bowen of Lamb and Lion Ministries about the challenges to the church in these times. Does the church at large believe we are in the last days? There are many unbelievers that sense things are spiraling downward, without a prophetic book or star to guide them into that opinion. But the church? Who is teaching prophecy, providing understanding and a firm foundation in eschatology, that we can pass along some answers to the unchurched? Some of the other challenges the church faces are liberal theology, sorting out Israel, biblical illiteracy. Mary chats with TA McMahon of The Berean Call about the nature of so many false teachings today, and the various reactions by the church as to what, if anything, can be done about it. Why is there so much apostasy? The bible says we have a choice, that we must choose to enter by the strait gate, and yet “few there be that find it.”  When the church started to go through many different phases in the last 30 years or so, many believers didn’t follow up on warnings, and as such it has become very difficult to keep up. And to say there is sorcery in the church, that is something many may not understand; but through the New Age and experientially-based Christianity, this has indeed become the case. Times ahead may get tougher, so we have to ask ourselves, are we standing firm on the foundation of truth?

Who is the author of this program, and what are his beliefs? Is it something churches can benefit from or should they run for their “spiritual” lives? We address recent concerns on it. Also, we talk to Chris about the antisemitism on campuses that shows no sign of letting up, and how authorities seem to be clueless on how to stem the tide of hate. There is no other group or culture that the tolerant left would allow to be shown such rancour – except Christians, of course. Are these evil mobs really terrorists at heart? Also, in Ezekiel we look at the “peace and safety” clause of the timing of the Gog and Magog war. Holly Pivec joins us for a repeat broadcast from 1/19/24 for an in-depth look at the New Apostolic Reformation, particularly as represented by the likes of Bill Johnson at Bethel. Who is this man and what is this “reformation” they speak of? Even the first part of the name, “New Apostolic” should set off alarms, but a reformtion? Is it a cult? We will talk about the who, what, how and why of it. We also take a look at what we might call the “gateway drug” of Bethel and Hillsong: the music arm of these churches, which has spread the doctrine of NAR far and wide to untold numbers of churches around the world. The teachings of NAR aren’t particularly new, considering the Latter Rain Movement of the 1940s and the Kansas City Prophets of the 1980s, but as with anything that the church refuses to be discerning about, it never goes away and just spreads, particularly in the computer/internet age. If you know of anyone caught in the web of NAR this is for you.
