And we, in this lost and dying world, need his Name applied to our lives more than anything else. His Name is indeed applied to our lives in Christ. This is good news.

Jesus is still calling people to himself to be connected to him in way that is vital. Vital means life. Without Jesus there is no life, no vitality. Notice that Jesus declared that he is the TRUE vine. There are a whole lot of false vines out there. As human beings we can find ourselves attached to the wrong vine. That is, we may not be connected to the vital (life) source that is Jesus Christ. All need to be vitally attached to the True Vine that is Jesus Christ.
