In John's gospel we can read the seven "I Am" sayings of Jesus. God introduced himself to Moses as "The I Am" (Exodus 3:14). Now, in keeping with the many miraculous prophetic revelations in God's Word, we have Jesus attributing this title to himself in amazing ways. Jesus said, "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35).

Bread is a symbol for food that sustains life. The bread of this world can only sustain life for a limited amount of time. Jesus, "The Bread of Life," can sustain life for all eternity. Jesus is God's heavenly manna now offered to the whole world. There is a wonderful aspect to this gift of The Bread of Life. The gift is not just about eternal life, but also about quality of life. We will have the life of Christ within us with the power of the Holy Spirit helping us.

Here is sin's I.D. Illusion and Delusion. Illusion: this world cannot see sin. Delusion: this world will then act on the illusion that sin does not exist. The news media will not mediate the truth because they are subject to sin's I.D. just like the rest of the world. Praise God that he has not left us alone to deal with the worst environmental hazard in the universe. One little verse in the Bible says it all: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

"For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:15-17). God himself will give to anyone who says "Yes" to his plan a very Happy Father's Day.
