Christian Brown (Chris) is the creator of Mommy and Her Budget LLC, a blog dedicated to empowering women to take control of their personal finances. She wholeheartedly believes that anyone can improve their financial life by budgeting, saving, paying down high-interest debt and investing (in that order!)

Chris started her personal finance journey over six-figures in debt, with a negative net worth, and living paycheck to paycheck. Over the past few years, she has built a foundation of wealth for herself and her family, doubling her income, purchasing multiple investment properties, raising her net worth, and investing for her future and the future of her daughter. She is also an avid believer that you can continue to enjoy your life while pursuing financial independence. As such, she frequently travels the world with her daughter.

Chris earned a B.S. in Public Policy from USC and a Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University and currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
