  • 3 Ways to Refresh Your Morning Routine for Your Mental Health

Today we’re talking about mental health morning routines and how use rituals in the morning to align your energy for the day. If you have been wanting to change your morning routine, learn how to get more out of your mornings, look forward to starting your day, or create a few routines that gets your mind & energy in the best place to take on your day, then you’ll want to listen to this episode!

Here are a few take aways from today’s episode:

    1. On our good days morning routines can help us align us to intentional energies & ways of being that we want to show up as in our day.  On our hard days our morning routines can be there as a grounding action to remind us who we are and wake us up to our inner warrior when we forget.
  • Stay committed to your goal but be flexible in the process.
  • Ask yourself why you want to align your morning routine and keep going deeper with it
  • Make a list of what you’re currently doing in the morning that is filling your energy and what is draining your energy
  • Make a list of all the ways you want your morning routine to FEEL instead of look and let those ways of feeling be your guide towards your actions
  • Pick 1 new morning ritual you want to begin. Start with a bite size version of your ideal and work your way up to the ideal in an organic way.

  • How to Believe Your Best Years are NOT behind You with Amy White

In this week’s episode I sat down with the inspiring Amy White, founder of the Healthy You™ program. Amy is a board certified holistic nutritionist and wellness coach who encourages clients to reconnect with their body to feel confident like they once have. However, it wasn’t an easy path. In this episode, Amy goes into detail about the time where she felt hopeless, and how this set off a catalyst for her going back to get her Master’s in nutrition. Amy pushes people to understand that their best years are not behind them and to recognize their power.

In this episode, Amy and I discuss:

    • A period of her life feeling down and hopeless in her late 30s when she realized she’d lost herself somewhere between marriage and being the mom of pre-teens.  We get into what this was like for her, how she found her way back to exercise and fell in love with strength & conditioning at 50.
  • How to reach your goals through commitment instead of attachment
  • What it means to connect to your own body
  • How to believe your best years are NOT behind you

  • Exercise is My Anti-Depressant [How Movement Helped Me Overcome Depression, Anxiety & Binge Eating]

In episode one of the Wake Up Your Warrior Podcast, Christine Coen goes over the biggest paradigm shift in her recovery from thinking depression was only caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain & that she was powerless and would need to struggle & be on medication for the rest of her life to believing that she could do something about this, she could impact how she feels, and she is not powerless to her challenges.

This is Christine's story of how she realized exercise could help her overcome her battle with depression, anxiety & binge eating.
