Chromacast

For episode 33 we’re proud to feature a man who not only wears the hat of a DJ, but also dons that of a producer, event organizer, label owner, and radio show host. This man has an incredible amount of passion and talent.

————

Massio is a very accomplished DJ, having played events like Coachella; Burning Man; the Latin Grammys; a festival he co-produces in Baja California called Genius Loci; as well as clubs in LA like Avalon and Pattern Bar (where he has found a very special place for his monthly residency). He is also a producer, with tracks released on labels such as Zotz Recordingz; Ambizi; Taux Music; and Progrezo Records. Massio is a co-founder of the upcoming record label Techlepatic...deep breath...and hosts their monthly podcast on ubradio.net. Oh, and he’s also an environmental engineer during the day. It’s no wonder we couldn’t find a time to get him in the studio for the interview. Amazing!

"It is so nice to connect back with my first electronic musical love, Drum & Bass/Jungle. I love all of it. Every kick, every snare, every nasty bassline, every subgenre. DnB/Jungle has been infused with my heart and soul for nearly 20 years. This habit is never going away. I’ve been buying a bunch of new stuff lately. There’s so much goodness out there right now. This mix has a bunch of new tracks that I really love, mixed in with some classics. It snakes from big mash-up warehouse style tracks to new skool jungle jump up, to heart wrenching tear jerkers. Take a hit of this and you’ll never turn back!" - Jeff Devoe

She has been producing for 9 years but over the last few began performing live as well. Markman is a producer and engineer, as well as a DJ for over 15 years. October 7th was a special night for Chromacast as we presented a piece of what was in our hearts to the Downtown LA community. We are incredibly grateful to all that came out. The vibe was palpable all night long thanks to you! Last week we were able to share Jeff Tovar’s incredible opening set. The heavy momentum from Tovar’s set catapulted the night forward. Jeff Devoe took the reigns after Tovar and laid down a mix of house, tech house and progressive house that kept the energy flowing.
