Despite the euphoria — deservedly so — over the overturning of Roe, the damage over the past 50 years does not bode well for the future. Think of the cultural devastation as a Category 5 hurricane. Right now, we are in the eye of the storm, a period of relative calm before the back end of the storm comes slamming ashore, and the back end is always more devastating.
During the eye, there is time to clean up from the initial damage and then batten down the hatches and prepare for what's coming. In case you're wondering what we're talking about, here it is: Look at these two polls, one specifically involving Catholics; the other, the population in general.
First, the Catholic polling conducted primarily by Real Clear Politics — the bottom line of the pretty extensive questions is that Catholics as a whole are much more accepting of globalism than the nation at large. And this is demonstrated through a hard look at answers to multiple questions. Fifty-nine percent of Catholics believe the country is on the wrong track, almost 20 points behind the rest of the country at more than 75%.
By a margin of 47–42, Catholics disapproved of the overturning of Roe. But in a slam in the face to Church teaching, 65%–23% acknowledged the Church is opposed to abortion. Translation: While two-thirds of Catholics understand the Church's teaching, nearly half just don't care. That'll end well!
Question after question in all kinds of polls and surveys over the last few months reveal Catholics to oftentimes be the "tip of the spear" on immoral social policies. And when it comes to the youth, faithful Catholic young people are almost nonexistent, as surveys reveal most of them abandon the Faith between the age of 10 and graduating from high school.
That last stat closely mirrors American youth in general. In the second poll we studied, a Rasmussen poll on patriotism and love of country, in every single category, more people under 40 had a negative view of America. They said they were not proud of America and believed the Constitution is rooted in racism and sexism. Talk about playing right into the globalists' hands!
It's what's coming in a few years that we here at Church Militant are warning about. So many of the young, those under 40, have been so brainwashed and mind controlled by schools and the Marxist media, which serve as the mouthpiece for the entire globalist regime, that they have lost all sense of proportion and reality. That is only getting worse by the day, and frequently it's Catholics at the forefront.
We are in the eye of the storm right now; no one should be deluded. In 10 years or so, many of the people who toiled for decades to bring about the Dobbs decision will have died off. Demographics are destiny.
It is impossible to deny that the leading instrument by which all this has happened is the media. Joe Biden himself even admitted that it was TV shows like Will & Grace back in the '90s that paved the way for the legalizing of gay "marriage." The importance of the media cannot be understated. That's why we have built all this. The Church Militant/St. Michael's Media Center is where it all happens — the trapping and exposing of the lies of the liberal world order within the Church as well as outside the Church.
Church Militant is extremely grateful for all the help and support we have received over these many years from all of you. Your generosity has always been outstanding. For that reason, and trusting once again in your support, we are unveiling a six-month, million-dollar fundraising effort to fight for the future. It will lock down this effort for the coming years and everything possible to blunt the coming storm.
Nowhere in the Catholic world is there an apostolate more equipped to engage in this work. No one "gets" media like Church Militant. We led the charge in the world of video, being the first Catholic apostolate to be present visually on the internet. Others followed our lead. We have offered the most in-depth, explosive, no-holds-barred exposés of the corruption in the hierarchy and its cooperation with the liberal world order.
As a point of proof, no other Catholic outfit has been so attacked by the Marxist media as Church Militant. The New York Times, Associated Press, Washington Post, Reuters, Detroit Free Press, The Daily Beast — you name it, they've come after us. Despite their best efforts to shut us down and get people to ignore us, Church Militant has only grown, with millions of people now consuming our information every month.
No one — and we mean no one — in the Catholic world churns out the amount of information we do on a daily basis. And it's not just information, it's well-produced information because our competition is not just other Catholic media; it's the Marxist media. The media whose slick production and excellent packaging have lured in tens of millions of Americans nonstop.
In just one 30-minute window each night from 6:30–7 EST, nearly 10% of the entire U.S. population watches the Marxist media evening newscasts on the three major networks. That's 10% every single night! Close to 20 million viewers in just 30 minutes. And remember, this does not include the 24-hour CNN, MSNBC and CNBCs of the world; the multiple websites they have; and the dizzying array of social media platforms streaming the propaganda nonstop.
There is something of a response online to the Marxist messaging. But a good part of it is Wild West style — not really professional, low quality when it comes to journalism and largely commentary. There has never been a truly Catholic response to this Marxist media juggernaut until this apostolate. The increasing intensity of the war has greatly increased the demands on us and how we conduct regular business. For example, we spend a huge amount of money each month to keep our content out of the reach of the Marxist cancel mob.
This is why we built and maintain our own top-flight servers to hold tens of thousands of hours of content — more than any other Catholic outfit on the planet. It costs us tens of thousands of dollars a month just to maintain this infrastructure, nearly out of reach of the Marxists. And frankly, we have no choice. We have to prepare for rough seas ahead despite, for the moment, being in the eye of the storm. Our website itself, ChurchMilitant.com, is second to none in its level of sophistication.
We started about 17 years ago. But we are no longer the apostolate of yesterday (or even today). We must all steel ourselves and prepare for the future — fighting for the future. We fight for the future of the Church, for the future of the culture, for the future of the nation and for the future of the many souls we are blessed to help save, which is our daily prayer here.
We begin each workday with Rosary and morning prayer, and end with evening prayer in our beautiful chapel. Every single thing we do here has the Faith interwoven through it and then presented in the most professional manner possible, looking every bit as good as the Marxists. The essential difference is, however, that while we look every bit as good as them, they work for the Devil, and we work for Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church.
To whatever degree you are able, and we know these are difficult times (they are for us as well), please click on the provided link and make whatever tax-deductible donation you are able to. All this week, we'll be going in depth into what we do here. Some of it you see; other aspects you don't.
Remember, this is your apostolate — we just run it day to day. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support, both spiritual and financial. You have our word that we will never give up fighting for the future.
For the thousands of viewers of our Evening News who watch live each night, we will be taking your calls and questions live all next week about this large undertaking and more on our goals and plans for the future.
So please tune in. We're live each night at 7 p.m. EST.
In our continuing push here at Church Militant to keep you informed as much as possible, we are dedicating resources to an ongoing project we call "Turf War" — largely an effort of our Church Militant Resistance where we hit the streets in dioceses all around the country and "get local." We visit with and get real with faithful Catholics on the ground, Catholics who know what's going on in their local church regarding corruption and big problem areas. We spend a few days with them to bring you the story up close and personal.
Recently, we went to Baltimore and discovered an enormous problem with the Maryland state Catholic bishops' conference. We think this story and this Turf War are so important for you to watch that we are presenting this special, first-ever Saturday Vortex.
Out of the many crucial works we do here at Church Militant, some of the most important are our exclusive investigations. Our most noteworthy is what we call our Spotlight investigation, headed up by senior producer Christine Niles.
These reports are always groundbreaking and oftentimes very disturbing in what they uncover. Various viewers are always inquiring about what goes into the work behind our Spotlight reports, so we have put together the following special to show you. It's a lot more than what you might realize.
The phony-Catholic Jesuits over at America Magazine have all but come out and declared that they are pro-abortion.
Sure, they don't come right out and say it, but by implication, no reasonable person could conclude anything else. They are almost depressed over the overturning of Roe, using language like abortion "rights" and so forth. There is no such thing as a right, any right, to kill an innocent child for any reason. But for a religious community (that takes the sacred name of Jesus as its banner) to practically be suicidal over saving the lives of innocent children is nothing short of demonic.
We all know that the Jesuits long ago gave up the ghost and are essentially communists in robes. But the overthrowing of Roe has now given them permission to drop the masks and get down to business.
One of the names at the heresy-supporting social justice rag is Thomas Reese, a priest so bad and lefty that he actually resigned when Cdl. Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XVI back in 2005. Reese had been at odds with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith over multiple moral and doctrinal teachings, and when Ratzinger, who was head of the CDF, became pope, Reese threw in the towel — realizing the jig was up. But it wasn't an inward conversion. It was merely political and career oriented — superficial. Reese realized he could do much more damage to the Church not tied to the Jesuit rag.
So for the past almost 20 years, he has fired off article after article criticizing anything and everything his little hands could attack from a keyboard. He's published in a handful of other lefty publications that spread his filth farther than just writing for America magazine could do. Recently, the traitor to the Faith wrote two articles published in the Religion News Service, one before Roe was overturned and the other after. Neither took a kind view of the terrific news.
But it was the first one, in particular, published when the original draft was leaked back in early May, that was the most revealing of the two. In that article, entitled "After Winning on Abortion, It's Time for Catholic Bishops to Switch Parties," Reese makes the rather asinine point that the bishops are mostly closet Republicans in lockstep with the GOP. Well, many of them certainly are closeted but not the way Reese means — who himself might know a thing or two about closeted things.
To even suggest that the bishops are united with the GOP platform shows the depths of Reese's ignorance or deceit — likely the latter. With the exception of abortion, the U.S. bishops check almost every single box on the Democratic Party dance card. You name it; they support it: illegal immigration, gun control, climate change, Obamacare, gay everything — the whole enchilada. In each of these areas, the U.S. bishops' conference not only supports but leads the way in pushing all of them.
The website of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is littered with press releases and click-throughs to everything the Party of Death supports. The bishops get almost half their funding — hundreds of millions of dollars — from D.C. to promote all this communist garbage, money they aren't about to turn down for a little thing like the gospel.
After all, like the Jesuits, the bishops have become masterful — real experts — at dressing up evil as somehow "good." They spiritualize climate change, for example, with multiple initiatives about caring for creation. Climate change, the way it's presented by the bishops and their fellow Marxist travelers, is a lie. Yes, the climate changes. It's called the weather. And no, it's not precipitated by cow flatulence or you driving your car.
Yet, bishops like soon-to-be-cardinal (God help us) Robert McElroy insist that climate change should be a "central priority" because it kills more people around the world each year than abortion. For the record, that would be more than 40 million human beings — a daily count of 125,000. McElroy would be hard-pressed, we think, to point to one death per day owing to climate change, much less 125,000. And remember, that's 125,000 every day, each day of every year. Really, bishop? Really?
Does McElroy sound like a closeted Republican? Or do Joseph Tobin, Blase Cupich, John Stowe, Richard Stika, Joseph Bambera (who Church Militant exposed as a registered Democrat, until he quietly changed his registration to independent after we caught him), or their predecessors Theodore McCarrick, Donald Wuerl, Joseph Bernardin and Roger Mahony sound like Republicans? To even hint that the U.S. hierarchy is Republican would be hysterical, if not an out-and-out lie — a lie that Reese spins in his article.
Likewise, it flies in the face of history. The U.S. bishops have been routinely referred to in political circles in such glowing terms as "the Democratic Party at prayer" and "Democrats in robes." Those references go back more than 40 years to the days of the Reagan administration. If there is ever a beatnik, hippie or unpatriotic-commie position or agenda item to take up, then the Dems can count on the bishops to come rushing to the cause — all in the name of "social justice."
Faced with all this truth and history, one wonders what Reese and his pro-gay, abortion-indifferent Jesuits are up to when trying to associate the bishops with Republicans. The answer is in the second article, where Reese goes on to attack the bishops for aligning themselves with social conservatives — again, not true. This has resulted in, wait for it, "corporate-friendly" justices being placed on the court.
As Reese puts it:
In short, stuffing the U.S. Supreme Court with conservative justices has set the stage for a string of victories for corporations that do not want the government telling them what to do. Regulations governing fossil fuels, pharmaceuticals, food safety, energy conservation, civil rights, public health and every other aspect of life will be more easily challenged by corporate lawyers with this court.
And there you have it. Reese recognizes the relationship between political conservatives' support for preborn life and limiting the imperial powers of the federal government. The destruction of America on the foundational level of faith and family has been the goal of the Democratic–Marxist communists for decades, and they were well on their way. Even if it were somehow able to be completely stopped dead in its tracks right now, it would take a century to reverse the damage and repair the carnage the Culture of Death has caused.
Had it not been for the Trump victory in 2016, it would be "game over" here. It was Trump's picks on the court that began the judicial rollback of 60 years of communist victories in America. It will take much more, but you have to begin somewhere. Had it not been for the Trump appointees, Hillary would have had those three picks — and it would have been lights out.
Right now, there is still some hope, but the religious-minded will have to fight like mad to keep the momentum going. After all, we're fighting Hell. But for Reese to claim that the U.S. bishops are somehow in the fight on the side of conservatives is completely nuts. When the bishops offered their opera-clap support for the overturning of Roe, they managed to completely ignore that it had been made possible by Donald Trump, a man they vilified at practically every turn — excoriating almost every policy he had.
Trump did more for the pro-life movement, meaning the saving of babies' lives, in three short years than all of the bishops combined in almost half a century — something they will answer for at their judgments. God help them.
Cardinal Wilton Gregory even lied about Trump in the wake of the BLM riots, when he joined a chorus of anti-Trumpers accusing him of having protesters tear gassed so he could have a photo op. Gregory also sent the message loud and clear that his priests should show up at a protest against Trump at the White House — a charge many of his priests simply ignored. Does this sound like a Republican-friendly crowd? Reese is a liar — full stop. Hey Tommy, your hammer and sickle are showing.
There's an old expression: People vote with their feet, and their money goes with them. If that's the case (and there is a lot of precedent for it) then it's important to understand what's happening in the contemporary "war" between the states. It's a cultural war. Well, at least for the moment, it's confined to cultural issues. Who knows what will happen down the road. But for the moment, it's all social issues like abortion, climate change, immigration, gun control and so forth.
And here's the rub: Back in the day, states used to battle each other for businesses to come to their state with tax incentives, labor-force availability, price breaks and so forth. But today, it's like clown world. First, every blue state in America is quickly dissolving into an economic wasteland. The citizen- and corporate-immigration rates are sky high, as people and businesses "bolt the blue."
For example, as Democrat governors in blue states went on their tyrannical COVID tears in 2020, IRS numbers show residents, businesses and wealth flowed out of those states and into red ones. Forty billion dollars poured out of California and New York combined, while thirty billion flowed into Texas and Florida. 2021 numbers are expected to show even greater economic devastation for blue states.
Moody's Investors Service recently released data showing the best-performing economies are dominated by Republican-led states, and 8 of the 10 worst are blue states. Likewise, what the Biden administration never tells you when bragging about unemployment data is this: It's the red states that have recovered all the jobs they lost during the pandemic and added 341,000 over and above the days of COVID. On the other hand, the blue states are still deep in the hole — 1.3 million jobs.
As a nail in the coffin earlier this year, business executives rated the top 10 states as top places to locate their firms. All of them were Republican-led. The 10 states least favored by the business executives were all Democratic-led. Now, normally, states would be bending over backward to offer the usual economic incentives for businesses to move back or start up. Instead, in a most bizarre twist, they aren't. What the blue states and their phony-Catholic governors are doing instead is pitching businesses on how woke, abortion- and sodomy-friendly their states are.
Yeah. No kidding.
For example, phony-Catholic New Jersey governor Phil Murphy recently reached out to businesses and said about the Dobbs decision overturning Roe that it will have a "chilling effect ... on your ability to attract and retain top female talent by being located in a state which has refused to recognize women's reproductive freedom."
In California, the phony-Catholic governor there appealed to businesses along the same lines, saying
Some businesses may have left. Come on back. ... Freedom is under attack by Republican leaders in states like Florida — banning books, restricting speech, making it harder to vote, criminalizing women and doctors. ... I urge all of you to join us in California, where we still believe in freedom; freedom of speech, freedom to choose.
It's the same with the phony-Catholic governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, sitting on a state being bled dry as people as business flood out of her Marxist Empire State. Notice for the record, all you faithful Catholics, all the phony-Catholic political leaders simply left alone by the bishops. In a survey of the top 10 wealthiest states in the country, 3 of the top 5 are run by phony Catholics, and that's excluding Kathy Hochul of New York, which did not make the top 10.
So this all brings up what we might call the "under the radar" phony Catholics, the other ones besides Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi. In a word, they are legion. And yes, the bishops in their respective states give them a "get out of Hell free card," or so they think.
Despite gross characters on the so-called religious Left like James Martin and Thomas Reese portraying the bishops as pro-life activists, no one who counts himself as a faithful Catholic believes a word of that. Heck, even when Biden finally "jumped ugly" on abortion, actually pushing for its codification by Congress and ending the filibuster to pack the court and overturn Roe's overturning, all these supposedly pro-life bishops were nowhere to be found.
When Nancy came out and shrieked in horror at the overturning of Roe, the bishops sat on their hands. So can anyone in his right mind really expect that those high-profile cases being left alone is a sign that any bishops will go after a phony-Catholic, pro-child-murder governor? Don't hold your breath.
But what's extremely interesting and telling is that even as the battle now goes back to the states, the bishops are still as quiet as church mice. For example, in California, the state's conference of Catholic bishops has taken an official position of neutrality on what amounts to an infanticide bill.
In Maryland, where the chairman of the bishops' pro-life committee (Baltimore archbishop William Lori) is the state's top prelate, the state's Catholic conference did next to nothing when a radical abortion bill was open to public comment. The bill funded abortion training for nonmedical professionals and laid aside tax dollars for out-of-state women to flock to Maryland and have their abortions paid for.
Yet Lori and his cronies kept their mouths shut in exchange for a deal with lawmakers to help keep the lid on what's known as a "lookback window," a law allowing sex abuse victims to sue after the statute of limitations had previously expired. It's clear that just like on the federal level for the past 50 years, the U.S. bishops are (and will remain) completely compromised on the abortion debate coming soon to a state near you. This is exactly why homosexual men, weak men and those involved in cover-up cannot be bishops under any circumstance.
The states under phony-Catholic political leaders may destroy themselves economically, but they won't go down without any help from the bishops. In fact, as those governors are sending out messages to various businesses to come back to their states because they are abortion friendly, they might as well add to their demonic lists the friendly environment for covering up the rape of thousands of altar boys.
I'm Michael Voris, coming to you from the final day of the Renewing America Tour in Virginia Beach this past weekend.
When you look at the crowd of thousands and the impressive list of speakers, it's easy to forget that all of this began just about a year and a half ago with an idea. That idea was to combat the garbage going on in the country.
Clay Clark was a successful businessman, not a political activist and organizer. He'd built up a tidy little wedding-planning empire around the country. But then, a few months after Biden assumed the powers of the presidency and began carting along his whole global reset agenda, Clark became concerned — deeply concerned. What began small (in idea) has now become a nationwide tour of 13 massive conventions, each one sold out, often weeks in advance. Dozens of speakers educate and inspire the audiences, not just in person but also through the multiple patriot media outfits that livestream it.
And there is nothing about the agenda of the globalists that does not get discussed here. From the COVID tyranny to the co-opting of the U.S. government by communists, you name it, it's on the main stage sooner or later. Interestingly, however, one topic continues to fly under the radar, and that's owing to the reality that this is largely a Protestant-attended event — even then, it's certainly not all Protestant congregations.
Just as the pro-life movement in America has largely been a half-century effort on the part of Catholics, including the Catholic justices who struck down Roe, the more broad-based patriotic movement is largely fueled by Protestant energy. As a result, they are not that aware of the important part the U.S. hierarchy as a whole has played in the collapse of the country. To their credit, more credit than is due to most everyday Catholics, they do recognize the spiritual component of all that is happening.
Without realizing it, Clark was moving on a Catholic principle when he decided to commit to all this. That principle is known as "subsidiarity," and it simply means "what individuals can accomplish by their own initiative and efforts should not be taken from them by a higher authority." In short, everything starts small and should be managed and solved locally by those most capable of addressing it and solving it.
In the case of Clark, he started locally with his first convention in April 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma — and not planning to do a second one. But then he was pressed into doing another one in Tampa. And from that point on, there was no looking back. He goes regionally and encourages those "boots on the ground" to get involved locally so that the chaos on the national level can be rolled back.
Everything begins locally. Everything is best handled that way. That is a massively Catholic approach. And the fact that a small local effort then assumes regional, national or even international importance does not alter the fact that it begins and ends locally.
Mirroring that is our own Church Militant effort. What we do here was never intended to move beyond the boundaries of the archdiocese of Detroit. But once we got our feet wet and understood that the rot we were encountering in Detroit was the same rot being encountered at a thousand different local dioceses, we couldn't help but expand.
The exact same is true here in this diocese of Richmond, where the weak homosexual-cover-up bishop Barry Knestout is part of the problem among the U.S. hierarchy — even being a close confidant of homopredator Theodore McCarrick. This crowd doesn't really know the local involvement of a thousand dioceses across the country in the advancement of communism in the political arena over the decades.
They've heard bits and pieces about the pope and the Vatican being in on the global stuff, but the details of how America's decline has been precipitated by the failures (and even machinations) of many U.S. bishops are still a mystery to them. The problem, from a spiritual standpoint, is simple: The evil of the hierarchy has stained the Church and, for many, given them a reason to never want to enter Her.
The distinction between the Church, as She is in Herself, and various corrupt bishops and warped laity is not understood by them. It's lost on them because, first, it's never been explained, and, second, it's not in their lived experience. If a given Protestant doesn't like what he hears in one congregation from one pastor, then he just goes to another and never thinks another thing about it. And frankly, why should he? One Protestant preacher or congregation offers no more truth than the next.
Only the Catholic Church possesses the fullness of truth. But that fullness is obscured and marred by the corruption and rot of many of Her leaders.
Backstage, we were introduced to one of the speakers who, when he found out we were Catholic, said to us, "I met my first real Catholic just last night." He went on to describe that he and a Catholic woman were talking, how she understood the spiritual dimension of all this and then went into great detail about the Faith. He said to us, "I'd never heard any of that before. This is something I could get behind." Everything begins small and locally.
It's worth noting that the principle of subsidiarity was employed masterfully by the communists until they had secured so many local victories that they were able to link them all up into one giant victory. They have corrupted an entire culture, but it didn't begin as a giant effort. It began as little scattered local skirmishes in the various institutions.
That's the same song Church Militant has been singing for years now and is the impetus for our Church Militant Call to Action Convention to be held in little more than a month in Detroit. The details are available by clicking on the provided link. Faithful patriots are decidedly "behind the eight ball" in training, organizing and preparing (about 100 years behind, to be more precise).
The goal of the convention is to prepare and train you in the ways of going on the offensive — just like the commies did. This battle can be won, but it will require massive commitment and dedication. All of us have to be completely committed to driving these communist forces completely out of our land, out of the culture and, most especially, out of the Church. There is not enough room in this nation for both communism and patriotism. One will die, and one will conquer. Yes, it's all come down to this! Fight or die.
