Elon Musk offers to buy twitter and the entire left media conglomerate melts down. Over the past few years, more and more, the social media companies have been on a warpath to remove mis, dis and mal information from any platform that it exists including and maybe most prevalently twitter.

On the other side of the coin, free speech absolutists have argued for free speech all the time no matter what it contains.

Are either of these views correct?
Should we protect delicate eyes and ears from words that are literally violence?
Or should we just allow whatever anyone wants to say or watch or do no matter who it hurts?

Are these really the only two options?

Today on Church Public:

China bans "Christ"

You can now select "X" on your passport.

One supporter of Gender X says,
"It's great news!"
"We can just be ourselves"
"We don't have to lie to get our passports"

???

This all leads us to the Great State Separation, or so I'm calling it.

Fasting Whiteness for Lent?!?!

A church in Illinois is fasting Whiteness for lent.
Lent, the practice of giving something up to become more like Jesus.
Lent, the practice of following in Jesus footsteps as he walked through the desert without food or water for 40 days.
Lent, the remembrance of Jesus fasting for 40 days then being tempted by the Devil before beginning his ministry.
This church is fasting an immutable characteristic like skin color to become more like Jesus who, actually didn't appear to care what race people were as long as they loved and followed him.
I am not sure, but to me it seems this church is acting more like the devil than Jesus.

Hey everyone!
2000 years ago, Jesus entered Jerusalem and while the people really expected a Messiah, nobody was ready for what happened next.
Many of you sang and shouted Hosanna on Sunday which are the very words that were shouted in celebration of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem some 2000 years ago. We are going to recount that story as well as some of the journey of Jesus so that we can understand how much he loves us and did for us through his life.

In 1837 Hans Christian Anderson published a short story about an emperor who was so vain that he needed the very best in formal attire. He heard of these incredible artisans who could craft the most beautiful clothing ever created. There was just one catch. ONLY those who were worthy could see the clothes. If you are not worthy it is because you were either a bad person or you were just exceedingly stupid.

We are told that conservatives started a culture war over the radical LGBTAAIP#$%^  agenda. We are told that EVERYONE agrees. We are told that you must get with the program or you will be banned.

There is a culture war, but it didn't just start, it has been going the whole time. You are just mad now that some of us are noticing you don't have any clothes.

We MUST talk about Bruno!
Because Bruno is Jesus?

While Disney doubles down to make the entire establishment super duper woke and not just accepting but belligerently Pro LGBTQ#$%^ the Gospel Coalition, an ostensibly Christian publication has NOTHING on Disney's outright assault on children and families. You know, children and families, the whole point of Disney.

Meanwhile, the number one trending article on the site, for the past several days and today is, despite advice to the contrary, talking about Bruno and how he is just like, Jesus.

Listen, The world is going to do it's thing.
The culture is going to keep rushing into the void of secular humanism and socalism and marxism and all the other isms. What concerns me is not just that places with Gospel and Christian in the name don't seem to be worried about this at all but that they instead are charging full steam ahead into comparisons of magical cartoons to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Somehow, to these venerated institutions this kind of 'reporting' is advancing the Gospel.

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ."
Colossians 2:8

In Finland a politician tweeted Romans 1:24-27 and was charged with hate speech. There has been an extensive court battle and on Wednesday, the court ruled that while the Bible passage was "partly offensive, it was not hate speech."

In a related case, a Finnish Bishop published a pamphlet with the title "Male and Female He Created Them" from Genesis 1:27 and faced dozens and dozens of fines for going against the cultural norm.

And in news closer to home, the in-famous pastor who started xxx church to combat porn addiction, now has a new venture called Christian Cannabis? Seriously, Jesus take the wheel.

Disney responds to Bill 1557, the Parental Rights Bill, by declaring they will "repeal or strike down" the bill. The bill, which protects children from sexual groomers posing as teachers and administrators, is offensive to Disney. Disney, who makes content for children, WANTS your children to be taught about sexual and gender ideology as young as kindergarten.

They believe they know how to parent better than you and are willing to fight to prove they are right. What will you do?

Well, the Oscars happened, and really, who cares?
Nobody watched, but of course something crazy happened and went viral and actually we can talk about what it means in terms of Christian Worldview.

Chris Rock insulted Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith defended her honor with the slap heard round the world.

What does this have to do with us?

Tune in and find out!
