The Biden SCOTUS Nominee Katanji Brown Jackson is a disaster.

She doesn’t know what a “woman” is.

She doesn’t know when life begins.

She has been soft on child predator sentencing.

She apparently supports CRT and the 1619 project in primary education.

And yet, because of the makeup of the Senate, she will probably get confirmed anyway.

This is still an important issue as it highlights where we are as a culture and what we are really fighting for:

What is a woman is the question that shows whether you are living in reality or living a dream world where you can be whoever you want to be and find paradise on earth, if you just work hard enough.

Spoiler Alert: Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But as for you, use self-restraint in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

Disney is no stranger to demons, but it appears that they are not even trying to hide it anymore. The new movie, Turning Red, is both wildly inappropriate for children and apparently is a weird lesson on communion with evil spirits and demons.

Disney also has come out against the "Don't Say Gay" bill in Florida, which again for clarity, doesn't include the word 'gay.'

Meanwhile in an oddly timed turn of events, 108 people were arrested in a human trafficking operation including child predators and 4 of these were employees of Disney.

Imagine if this was a church, or a school?

Would the headlines EVER end if a church had even ONE child predator much less FOUR? But for Disney it is just swept under the rug at the same time that they are screaming out about NOT being able to groom children under 8 years old with sexual preference and ideology discussions IN school classes.

Yes, this culture has gone mad, and yes, it was bound to happen because we have left the morality of God's foundation.

If nothing else, this should give you pause about where you send your children and to whom you are giving permission to teach them.

We have left reality and we are creating our own.
When two gay men, one woman and two more women are needed to make a baby, something has gone wrong.

In other news, the woman of the year is a man and the winningest female swimmer is also, a man.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and righteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived ever since the creation of the world in the things that have been made. So, they are without excuse." Romans 1:18

Creation shows what is true
Creation shows what is real
The created, you and me, we have gone our own way and created something that is not real. That is not reality.

Good news!
Because of the 6 week abortion ban in Texas and other laws around the country like it, thousands of babies have been saved this year alone.
But that is not enough. Innocent lives are still being taken every day before they take their first breath and men, you can do more than you think about it.

Recently a study from CareNet and Lifeway Research showed that men have a FAR greater influence on whether their partner gets an abortion or not.
This news was even surprising to me and we need to talk about it.

Men, it is time to stand up.
There is no more time for waiting, for relaxing, for cruising.
It is time to work. Not just at 'work' but work in life, work in your family, work out your faith.

This episode is aimed at men, because it is time to stand up and against this culture. However, if you are a woman, you should listen too.
If you are a wife, give this message to your husband.
If you are dating, give this to your boyfriend to listen.
Men need to hear this message.
Adolescence has lasted far too long and we have allowed boys to stay boys forever, just like Peter Pan.
This is not how it should be.

We have a crisis and we have an opportunity.

Are you tired?
Are you anxious?
Are you worried about the end of the world?

Yeah, me too.

Jesus talks about this. A Lot. And he talks about bread.

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

Jesus talks a whole lot about bread. He even did a HUGE miracle feeding 5000+ people with bread. What's the big deal about bread?

And what does that have to do with being anxious and worried?

You Can't Legislate Morality!

I get this comment frequently.
Don't legislate my morality.
Don't tell me what to do.

Or something like, "why is your way better than someone else's way?"
How can you say that the Bible is better than other religions?

Today we will look at 5 laws where the conservatives are pushing back and trying to regain morality through legislation and one progressive law that tried to remove certain humans from the planet.

Ash Wednesday and Maternal Healthcare

Today we talk a bit about Ash Wednesday, Repentance and a couple things that stood out to me about the State of the Union from President Biden.

Welcome to Church Public!

--

“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:19‬

This is not a popular message.

In fact this is the opposite message of the culture.
You are told you are good enough.
You are perfect just the way you are.

The good news of the gospel of Jesus is not that you are perfect but that you are not.

That’s why you NEED Jesus.

If you feel worn out and broken and tired, choose Jesus.
Repent means literally to turn around and go the other way.

Stop running from God and run toward him today.
And Jesus WILL forgive your sins.
God will embrace you as a son or daughter and welcome you to the family where HE will be enough, because HE is Good.

(Im)modest Culture

In a culture where Adidas, an enormous shoe and clothing company gets away with placing a 4 story billboard of bare women's chests with little to no pushback, a pastor graciously asks women to stop posting pictures of themselves in immodest clothing and the internet breaks.

“Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.” - 1 Timothy 2:9-10
