Putin has invaded Ukraine and I am hearing stories on the news and social media that this is the start of World War 3 and potentially the End of the World!

Is this really the end of the world?

Let's look directly at what Jesus has to say about it in Matthew 24

This is how we FIGHT.

Not with weapons and violence, but with values and words and most of all TRUTH.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck." Proverbs 1:7-9

The family is the most important building block of society.
The left knows this and they are directly targeting your children
The left is waging a war against the family and any normal or dare I say it, Biblical family values.

WE need to get in the fight.
The good news is that mothers and fathers all across America are waking up to this fight and FIGHTING.
We will look today at the way some schools, teacher associations are dogmatically educating in this sexual revolution AND how some parents are pushing back.
Where will you stand?
Welcome to Church Public, I am Matt Odegaard

Nice, but mostly peaceful Canadian Truckers are causing a mess in Canada.
Prime Minister Trudeau responds by threatening to take all their money straight out of their bank accounts and throw them in jail, probably forever.

Meanwhile, grandpas and kids in bouncy houses are just trying to live their lives in peace and freedom.

Canadian authorities have spent 2 years closing businesses, churches, arresting pastors, etc. But, now that the truckers have clogged a bridge for a day or two, we must declare they are terrorists and all who help them are terrorists, therefore, we need to invoke the Emergency Act in Canada.

If that sounds tyrannical, that's because it is!

In Isaiah 5:20 he says “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Likewise, in 10:1 he says “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees”. There is nothing new under the sun. History is full of governments mixing up good and evil and overreaching on their authority.....And here we go again!

How do we view all of this from a Christian Perspective?

Today we look at what it means to be faithful in the midst of incredible pressure.

"He got down and prayed as he had done previously." Daniel 6:10

“When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The power in Daniel’s story is NOT in the lions, it is NOT in the pit where he was thrown to his impending death.

No, the power was in the relationship that Daniel had with God.

When the king declared no one could worship any God but the king himself, Daniel kept praying “as he had done previously” because Daniel knew God. Daniel had a relationship with God and trusted the power of God.

Daniel knew that God had the power to save him.
AND Daniel trusted that God had bigger plans.
After Daniel was spared from the hungry lions, the king declared to all the peoples, nations and languages that God is faithful and good. (Daniel 6:25)

That’s the bigger story here, not that God will always rescue you from the lions, but that when you pursue a relationship with him, he is faithful.

Cancelling Cancel Culture
Why should I come down?

"Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” Nehemiah 6:3

Cancel Culture seems to have taken over our culture.
You hear about it every day and you may have even been a victim of it in some way.
Why has it exploded in such a big fashion? Is it a new thing?
And what can a normal, every day Christian do to Cancel, Cancel Culture?

Workers of the World - UNITE!
But not like THAT?!?!?

Full disclosure - I married a Canadian.
If I talk with fondness and love for our friends in the north, it is because I have fondness and love to the extent of living in the same house with one of those foreigners! Therefore my extended, married into, family is also Canadian and I have a great heart for what is happening to that country as well as my own.

That is one reason I have been so vocal about some of the difficult things Canada has faced over the last couple years. From arresting pastors, to burning churches and now to truckers, farmers and regular folk standing up against the tyrannies of the government.

All the while, if you are watching the news, and I strongly suggest you stop that, these truckers and farmers and regular folk are being called racists, white supremacists, and interlopers.

While the videos that are actually coming out of the "protest" show people hugging, laughing, dancing, and even praying.

What does this have to do with America?

Tune in and find out!

Recently I received a comment that Jesus never claimed to be God and never asked to be worshipped.

This one hit me sideways, because, clearly Jesus did claim to be God.
Many times.
Actually his claim to be God is why he was crucified by the Jews.
They were so upset by his claims to be God that they condemned him for heresy and gave him a death sentence. Actually they tried to kill him numerous times.

The transportation czar tells us that he is going to eliminate ALL motor vehicle deaths allowing us to live forever. As long as we don't drive.

Meanwhile, a woman yells at a man on an elevator and I discuss how Pride is making people deny reality.

"Land of the free
and the home of the brave."
What an iconic statement that we sing at every ball game and other special events. You place your hand over your heart or salute the flag and remember that this life is bigger than you. You thank those that have come before and sacrificed for your freedom and you lean into your responsibility to be brave in spite of obstacles put in your way.

However, now the current administration with the help of Woody from Toy Story, is telling you that you don't need to live in the land of the free, you just live in the land of the brave. Freedom is not necessary here, just safety. And just be brave with the lockdowns and mandates, I mean, who needs freedom anyway?
